This is only a response to the traditional zombie. Zombies can operate on 1. Black Magic or 2. the zombie may be zombified by an infection, in which case they are not dead in the critical sense but may be brain dead. "Zombie" is a term that more less refers to a human being that no longer displays human consciousness through means of memory, problem solving ability, use of language, and emotions. A disease very well could infect someone that makes them this kind of zombie and who infects others by biting, much like rabies.

Zombies in the traditional 'walking dead' sense are indeed impossible for the reasons stated above. However, it is possible to have a disease or parasite that might alter a person's behavior, driving them to attack others and spread the disease through biting or through the air. Mind you they would be just as vulnerable to damage as a normal human, but the end result would be the same. Arguably, the depictions of zombies in The Last of us or World War Z are the most logical, because all internal systems are still alive and functional, except that a foreign entity has taken control of behavior and nervous function. However, only an airborne disease (such as cordyceps) would have the potential to cause a zombie apocalypse, since biting is actually a very inefficient way to spread disease, especially when attacking prey armed with guns.

Leptin is what makes you feel full. Ghrelin is the horomone that makes you hungry... He is actually wrong on that part.

That's such a narrow view of zombies. He assumes that they are:
-completely dead bodies that have no vital functions
-the same, biologically speaking, as living humans

All he did was explain why corpses aren't zombies

That would be an undead zombie, the popular zombies today are virus based.

That hunger leptin thing is ******** . If anything, it would make them continue eating forever because leptin is a molecule that you produce when you're full.
