An infant (from the Latin word infans, meaning "unable to speak" or "speechless") is the very young offspring of a human or animal. When applied to humans, the term is usually considered synonymous with baby or bairn (Scotland), but the latter is commonly applied to the young of any animal. When a human child learns to walk, the term toddler may be used instead.

The term infant is typically applied to young children between the ages of 1 month and 12 months; however, definitions may vary between birth and 1 year of age, or even between birth and 2 years of age. A newborn is an infant who is only hours, days, or up to a few weeks old. In medical contexts, newborn or neonate (from Latin, neonatus, newborn) refers to an infant in the first 28 days after birth;[1] the term applies to premature infants, postmature infants, and full term infants. Before birth, the term fetus is used.

If no one had vaccinations then the average life span would still be at a 30years old.

There is a reason stupid people died out, Natural selection.

What we should do is let these people not get vaccinated and if any of them die let them and insure Life insurance companies don't pay for their suicide.

If a child died then the family/Parents should be charged with murder and child endangerment.
If the stupid continues let them die out.

I might sound like a asshole and a Morally depraved individual, but nature made it vary clear that humans survived because we did what we needed to and we thought about it and committed. Most people now are ****** up and unable to comprehend simple things. sure some might not get educated but common sense really needs to be common practice. if we let them keep getting away with ******** then Idiocracy.

I personally think that stupid people should be allowed to facilitate stupendous ****. let nature figure out the kinks.

My cousin has brain aneurysms and immune system deficiencies from the Gardasil vaccine, so saying all vaccines are safe is really an insult to me and my family. My aunt majors in chemical engineering and has a minor in human biology, she, my cousins mother, is entirely anti-vaccine. I trust that she knows her ****. If you think vaccines are really so good you should read just the inactive ingredients, they can be very harmful to the human body. And don't give me **** like "but we can eat that stuff and be fine" intravenous absorption is an entirely different concept and the body handles it VERY differently.

vaccines should be looked into before vaccinating your child. there is quite a few my child wont get but theres still a lot they will get. i think people should read on vaccines before blindly getting them. way out the pros and cons. some can be more harmful to their health and not even be necessary. as parents you need to do whats best for your child cause they cant speak.

3 comments on a certain subject and you already think I'm 'stupid'?
You really shouldn't have brought up side effects, rather, it would have made a much stronger argument if you brought up contamination or mix-ups or other malfunctions controlled entirely by the manufacturer.
If a vaccine is on the market, it's going to work.
Side effects? Soreness on the site of injection.
Haha oh you
3 comments and you deduce that I am stupid and not getting much out of my studies. You're easy to anger, and it's not a strong suit. Learn something before you want to debate it. A nobody on the internet with a low intelligence quotient such as yourself, does not effect me. But then again, I'm being a hypocrite by saying you're stupid. I don't even know you.

one slight english mix up and you decided im retarded. english is my first language but of course when i type silly comments on funnyjunk im a lot less caring on proper english that when i need to.
side effects are all i need to say. every medicine has side effects and a lot of vaccines have potentially fatal ones. yes i know the statistic on death is very low but its still there and to say they are harmless is so dumb i cant even understand why someone who studies this would say that. every medicine has a percentage of health risks. no medicine is harmless. i actually dont really believe you are stupid. you started with the name calling rather than being mature. for someone with your studies i would assume would be more mature. and when immature behavior is presented i choose to be as immature. if you want to discuss this maturely i would love to, but if you want to be immature ill be immature right back.

www.cdc.gov/vaccines/parents/vaccine-decision/side-effects.html

The only real danger of vaccines are the possibilities of allergic reactions to the shot, and since allergies are entirely subjective, you can't hold it against the vaccine itself, but rather the immune system of the recipient.

In case you didn't already know, a vaccine is just a sample of a dead or deactivated virus, bacteria, etc. used to help the body identify and protect against the real deal. Unless you accidentally get a functional sample of the pathogen (the likelihood of which is almost nonexistent), you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

thats very untrue. there are many books out there that show links to vaccines and health issues beyond allergic reactions.
"though from 1990 through 1993 the FDA counted 54,072 adverse reactions to vaccinations, the agency also admitted this total represented only about 10% of the actual adverse reactions because most physicians were reluctant to report the problems"
"In a 1994 issue of the new england times journal of medicine it was reported that at least 80% of children under the age of five who came down with whooping cough had been vaccinated against whooping cough" both sourced from "The hundred year lie" by Randall Fitzgerald.
theres more im just being lazy its a bit late for me to be copying paragraphs. if you arnt pleased by this ill make an attempt to copy the others.
a summery of another one is about measles. basically there are still large outbreaks of measles even though 95% of people are vaccinated. but thats understandable because 5% is still a large number. and thats all due to the retards who dont think measles vaccinations are important.
so im just going to say this to you i think vaccinations are a gift from the pharmaceutical companies but i just dont think every single one they have is necessary. my biggest one is chicken pox vaccines. its not necessary. the high levels of mercury they use in making vaccines is dangerous and i just dont think adding more when the medicine isnt necessary, is just unnecessary. there are sooo many good vaccines my child will have but im not going to just give them medicine they dont need. its not just vaccines i limit this to, its medicine in general. i dont like to blindly follow someones orders just because they are a doctor, people need to make informed decisions on everything and i dont see how thats dumb to research things for yourself. if you find the doctor is well informed and not pushing medicine for money then take it. but you should always choose for yourself and for your child whats the best.

At the same time, I'm going to trust my doctor, that has literally helped treat me and my family for anything and everything that we weren't going straight to the emergency room for.

Why?

Because I'm a simple guy, I'm not smart enough to understand the pharmaceutical industry, nor am I arrogant enough to act as if I am.

While it is my duty to do what is best for those that I care for, at the same time that involves trusting the trained and licensed medical professionals and their advice when they say that while vaccines on their own may not be of much use, they are like boards in a fence. They work best when they work together.

well when you found a good doctor thats different and im happy that you have found one. i recently also found one i trust very much as well. i dont think you're not smart enough its honestly really easy to understand, just ask your doctor im sure he/she can help. unfortunatly there are a lot of medical professionals who dont take the time to properly diagnose and as a result a lot of mistakes can be made. theres also the others who simple push pills for money and problems arise there too. but its good you found a good one i hope you get to see your doctor for awhile.

Then they go on the news or complain about the healthcare system and how they et this happen. Bitch jab your kid with a needle and this **** wouldn't have. What ******* gets me is that most of the people who don't immunise their kids are already immunised by their parents long ago. they're denying the next generation the benefits they are reaping.
