What's a first date idea that's not the standard ''movie / coffee shop / walk in the park'' thing? I'm wanting something that's, I dunno, out of the box? I know it's really depends, but I sort of need an outside opinion.

cheers!

Definitely stargazing. Dude, there's a green comet called Catalina this month, passing us by only once in the entire existence..probably. Now, if that's not romantic..

My advice? Bro to bro? Just go and do things. I remember a date I went on where we just rode bikes around town and went wherever seemed cool. We went to a graveyard and visited the grave of the last victim of a local serial killer from like 100 years ago, rode around town some more, picked up some dairy queen, and then we rode around the lake around the time the sun started to set. That's when the stars pretty much aligned, because I saw a climbable tree right next to the lake. We stopped the bikes, climbed up into the tree, and we sat on a branch that was positioned perfectly and watched the sun go down, with her resting her head on my shoulder. That moment, sitting in that tree, it was ******* perfect. Too perfect to have been planned.

Honstly, I think the best things are often things that aren't planned. Leave a lot of **** open. Just go and live.

I have to do this with my wife tomorrow. I'm sending my e-mail to call in sick tonight. Thank you.

your username reminded me that we had one retard in our French class who didn't understand the difference between "heurs" and "ours"

Good memories.

Bowling or mini golf. They are fun somewhat cheesy activities that are enjoyable no matter what your skill level is. You get a chance to talk as you play and the activity keeps the evening moving. If you want to double down on the cheesy fun you can do the old "let me show you how to do that" move and put your arms around them and show them the motion they should do to make the shot. A plus side for both activities is that they will be bending down facing away from you giving you a chance to check them out.

i'm not a hot grill but i took my current girlfriend rock climbing for our first date. I read somewhere that if you do something exciting on a first date the girl is more likely to associate you with thrill or enjoyment.
