Part of the issue is often that people don't eat regular, consistent meals enough. If you don't keep regular meal times and cover all the nutritive bases, your body goes into "famine mode" and slows your metabolism by about 40%, storing what it doesn't burn.

Regular meals are essential if you're trying to lose weight.

I'm one of those with a high metabolism. It's pretty sweet, but I'm starting to slowly feel it slowing down and my eating habits catch up to me.

kinda odd

when my russian friend was in college, he ate like a ************* starving bear, yet didnt gain weight....then when he finished college, he ate below average sized meals and put on 50lb

Maintaining a good weight: regular meals daily and rigorous exercise. Mostly high intensity interval cardio training. Get a good amount of sleep every night. Cut out soda and excessive carbs. Drink plenty of water.  Most of this sounds like common sense, but im surprised that many people would do one or two of these and still expect results.

I have a decent metabolism. I got fat back in elementary and middle school because I ate a bunch of oreos and chips all the time.

Sorry if my anus is talking now, but I too can eat a lot without gaining fat, I have a high metabolism, but doesn't that also mean I will die much earlier than people with slower ones?

i have a very physical job that is basically working out for 10+ hours a day, it keeps me looking like a greek god and basically I eat whatever I want, I try to get about 4-5 thousand calories a day. basically you have to excercise or you will be pudgy regardless of your eating habits.
