n64 emulator pls help description

any n64 users on here who use project64, I have a quick question. So I'm trying to play doom 64, and I downloaded nrage plugin, finally figured out how to get the mouse to work as the joystick, only the mouse movement wont stick. As in when I'm trying to turn, I use my mouse, so if I move the mouse left to turn left, it wont stop turning left until I manually move my mouse back to the center. Is there any way to get it to stop turning or moving at all unless I manually move the mouse? because It's completely unplayable if I have to keep re-positioning the mouse every time I use it.

I'm technologically retarded so can someone just post a screenshot of their controls or something if they have it properly set up? (I don't have any actual controllers I can use either im talking strictly mouse and keyboard, and I know it can be done)

I just want your average pc game controls WASD left mouse click fire mouse movement x + - looks left and right etc etc etc

Please help me :c I want to play Doom64 and goldeneye so bad

do yourself a favour and just buy a N64 controller and USB adaptor. And it really should be a real N64 controller. I've purchased like 5 fake ones both USB and standard N64 ones and they all suck donkey balls. I finally broke down and bought some real ones and the difference is amazing. You still gotta calibrate it correctly and it's difficult to move the joystick very small amounts, so I added a mod that when I press the space button the sensitivity goes down by 50%. This allows me to aim better or walk really slow. Then I press the space bar again and go back to normal.

WASD + mouse will not really work for N64. I mean, the way you have it now is pretty much as good as you can get it: you move your mouse forward and it's like moving the joystick forward. You move it back, and it's like moving it back. There's no way you could set it up so it only moves when you move your mouse - that's retarded. Imaging playing Zelda where you hold the joystick forward to run. If it only moved when you moved your mouse, you'd have to constantly move your mouse foward.

Anyway, maybe you could set up the dead zone to be like 50% or something. Then you don't have to move it far to get it back to the "middle". But seriously, just get a real Nintendo N64 controller and USB adapter.

Or just play Doom for PC.

thats why I'm saying WASD as well.. who the **** want to run with the mouse l0l no that's for W, there has to be a way to do this, it cant be that complicated

I know its a repost, but i just noticed he is surprisingly buff. Im not sure i could beat him in a straight fight let alone a card battle.

I'd probably ask him to provide the pistols and hope he's a worse shot than me.

don't you think it's a bit of a gamble to assume there's ANYTHING he's not better than you in, especially when it involves GUNS? I mean after all...
