My sister is an SJW pt. 2
My sister is rapidly descending to the level of "equality" known as SJW. She has no understanding of statistics or a thing called majority. This was a conversation from yesterday:
This was a continuation of a conversation about gender
Her (to me): "But there wouldn't be anything wrong if you were gay or bisexual or transexual"
Me: "I'm straight. I am content being a standard issue human."
Her: "Hey! What is that supposed to mean? Why are you so insensitive, are you saying that gays and non straight people aren't humans?"
As you can probably tell, I never said that. What I said was that I belonged with the majority (standard issue) of humans who are heterosexual. She has no understanding that not everyone in the world is trans-recipro-genderflux-pansexual who identifies as a microwave. According to a study performed by the Willams institute (part of UCLA), between 3 and 15 percent of americans are LGBT. Even if it were at the high side of that, it's still the minority, she assumes that straight people are a vocal minority saying that they are the majority.
She's descending to their level and it's hard to stand by and stay neutral while she preaches to me about "equality", which means female superiority to them. The other thing was she was lecturing me about the walking through new york for 10 hours as a woman thing. She referenced all the men calling the woman beautiful, and assumed they all had sexual intent and were trying to get in her pants. She never even thought for a moment there could be another reason, such as the men simply wanting her to know she was beautiful, or they were trying to attract her attention to sell her something or something similar. She's descending into the pit of blindly pushing "evidence" that others are providing and using it to push their agenda for them.
On the bright side, she does have some common sense left. She only wants to minor in womens/gender studies, so if she majors in something else at least she'll have career opportunities.
