I actually like Nickleback and don't understand most of the hate.

It's hated on because it's produced not to appeal widely to everyone, not because the artists love making music. People believe that they're music is some of the most manufactured rock music in existence.

This doesn't necessarily mean that all their music is bad, it's just obvious in their music

Nickelback has one or two good songs, so a lot of the mindless anger at them is misplaced, but their bad songs are really bad, and get way too much radio play.

That's Zakk Wylde, for christs sake. Nobody shreds like him. Not a single person in this universe.

Zakk Wylde is a guitar god, but I think Dimebag is a guitar titan.

For definite. He was, and always will be, one of the greatest guitarists of all time. I love the Drop D 1/4 tuning he used in Pantera.

I like him, but I don't get how he's proud of liking Gangnam Style, which is a catchy song about nothing really, but hates Nickleback, who makes some catchy songs about nothing really.

I think he's said something like "Like whatever ******* music you want" before. Basically he's just saying if you like something, then don't feel guilt over it.

Dave Grohl is my complete and utter musical idol, up there with Eric Clapton and Synyster Gates. He just plays the guitar, and doesn't care if it's technical. He plays what sounds good and puts his heart and soul into working to make it sound good, not complex. Not a lot of musicians today see the way he does, nor do they behave in his manner. He's got the whole music industry worked out and he is the best for expressing why it's **** and ruined and what people should do to fix it. He just says: "Play the guitar. Who cares if you do it terribly. It's fun." That's the kind of guy you want your kids to be, y'know? Laid back, successful, realistic. Everything a person could want to be and should be.

So, Dave Grohl is awesome because he danced with a giant dildo? Or is that a kid's show with really messed up producers?

Saw him at Reading festival a few years back, he got all 80,000 of us to sing happy birthday to his mum who came on stage, it was epic. He did an acoustic rendition of 'Times like these' while talking about Cobain, feels were felt that day.

He seems like such a down to earth and genuine guy and his music is sick!
