Be 21, back home from night out at the bar with friends
They're about to leave, smoke a cig out front
See a solid 9-9.5 slightly stumbling her way back from somewhere
(I "live" in a big college town so this is pretty normal)
Yell something bro-ey like "hi how are ya"
She says something like "do you have any beer?"
She straight up halted on the street for a while
Notice she is lost and confused, so run up to her off my porch (I live in what used to be a frat)
Ask her if she knows where she is or going, says no and that she's cold
Offer to take her inside so she can warm up and rest
Take her inside, dump her on couch
Friends look at me like "seriously dude? She so drunk"
Shoo them away and tend to her
She is non responsive, and her phone is ringing, get her to answer
She talks for a second, her hand drops and she passes out
Take phone and scared shirtless
Say hello, turns out its her boyfriend, tell him where this is
Try to reinforce that I am doing this out of good will and humanity, refs not trying anything
He picks her up IN A BIGASS TRUCK WITH A GROUP OF GUYS
Barely thanks me, carries her away
Anyway now I am upset. I did it out of humanity (I like treating people as people) but I am scared because a tiny bit of me in the back of my mind was hoping she would just jump on me and all that. I ain't some creep who never gets any, and I ain't some white knight fedora guy. All in all though, had I been her boyfriend, I wouldn't ever had let her go walking back plastered by her self like that...
