Apparently they don't really get along too well.

Just what I heard.

They get along and they are able to work with and respect each other. Despite they don't get along they are both aware of each others professional statuses and are able to work together. Strictly business relationship.

Yes Adam himself confirmed in an interview that they worked well with each other as business partners but they are not friends. It's kinda sad and weird.

That's actually pretty normal for successful business, so it's not surprising that the same dynamic exists for a successful show. Hiring a bunch of guys with the exact same outlook on life is often bad, because sometimes you'll benefit more from 3 guys with 3 different ideas than from 3 guys with the same ideas. That's especially applicable for something like Mythbusters, where the there is no clear-cut approach to the each task.

Like Adam says in the interview, that constant back-and-forth questioning and criticizing of ideas is how they end up with conclusions that are ultimately better than what they would have come up with alone. Being professional is all about being able to work with people that have different ideas from you, anybody can work with like-minded people.

You'd think that after working together for years a kind of friend-ish relationship would just naturally happen. Guess not with these guys..

Well they have completely different personalities that really clash, so it's kind of understandable they wouldn't really be friends off set.
