Asthmatics can have similar problems because one common trigger of asthma attacks is exercise.
Before I started taking my bronchodilator, I would have severe asthma attacks every time I tried to exercise. I was fat as fuuuuuuck.

I'm tempted to believe the cause of you obesity was asthma, but I just can't.

No I was fat because I ate horribly and took lots of medications with steroids as a kid; I just couldn't exercise to lose weight so I was clinically obese by 6th grade.
But after I started taking Cymbicort. I ******* did something about it, dammit.

He's not saying it was directly because of his asthma. It prevented him from exercising, which is a completely legitimate reason for getting fat

I know what you mean man. I tried taking up jogging but my throat closed up something awful. Aerobic exercise really ***** my asthma up, luckily it doesn't cause the problem with weight training which is still pretty good for keeping in shape if you do a lot.

Take albuterol before running. Its an immune response the more times you expose your body to whatever is triggering it the more managable it is, but using the Albuterol before you exercise should prevent an attack. Which in the end is not only good for the whole breathing part but because it will help push your lung muscles more rather than having the Asthma be the restrictive force.

I don't have that, but I can't help it my kidneys are getting worse, which then effects my lungs. Even with meds, I can't go a few blocks of jogging before my kidneys start hurting and I start up a coughing storm. ******* side effects of Type-1 Diabetes

This actually isn't a joke. My ex-fiance had this and she was in amazing shape. Its not just an excuse to not exercise

How did she get in great shape in the first place?
User avatar #10 to #7 - TheVertigo (10/21/2013) [-]
I guess she developed the condition. She ran track for 4-5 years before this happened.
