balzac (09/12/2015) [-] A single person going over that mountain is possible, but when you have to transport another person who needs medical attention that's a big ass mountain. It doesn't look like finding stable footing is easy, imagine going down that while carrying a sick/injured person.

The woman might've needed to go to the hospital. While ambulances can help preserve life until it gets there, it actually needs to get to the patient first. Even if you drove up to the mountain, packed the gear, treacherously climbed over (risking falling/breaking bones) it still might be a long jog to the village. Then you have to do that again to get back, but this time with a person in tow trying to keep her alive...
Its just not pratical.
