Jesus ******* christ. It is my major pet peeve when people say "AK-47" as if anyone could get one. I'll bet there are maybe 100 in the US, and all registered as automatic weapons. Are there other AKs? Sure, but those are AKMs, AK74s, and other country's AKs such as N-PAPs, WASRs, VEPRs, etc...

Why are all AK-47s registered(in my opinion)? A real AK-47(or AKM) could fetch you truck loads of money, but if you do not have it registered you'd have to sell it under the table, which is substantially more difficult and you also have undercover ATF agents to worry about. Whereas a registered AK-47 can be sold legally in almost any state easily, and fetch pretty much any asking price the seller puts on it.

Not really, I'd say it's some Coke-like softdrink.

I wasn't aware that AK-47s had a bullet specifically named after them.

It's not that odd, I've got a few thousand rounds of 5.45x39 ammo for my AK-74 that I received in the mail a few weeks ago. Got a couple bags of 7.62x39 for my AKM laying around too, 300 rounds per bag. Pic related is 750 rounds of 5.45x39

Hey guise, check out my Tikka M/65 shell.

I guess I have to play the part of captain obvious too. It's not a ******* AK-47 shell, it's a 7.62x39. The ammunition isn't named after which weapon types that use the caliber, for example CZ makes a very nice little hunting carbine in 7.62x39. Clips clips lol.

>ak47 shell
do you mean a 7.62x39 casing? because it was first used in the RPD in WWII. if anything other than a 7.62x39 casing its a RPD shell since the RPD went into service in 1945 and the ak47 wasnt presented until after the war in 1946 and the fixed stock design wasnt completed and accepted until 1948
