Raider Power Armor looks cool as hell though. I've got a set of Raider II that's missing a leg, which I replaced with a stolen T-60. Needed a power armor frame, pickpocketed a fusion core and reverse pickpocketed a grenade onto a Knight. Danse can never know.
To be clear, I've got Minutemen T-45d Power Armor, Brotherhood T-60D that I got from joining and upgraded, and Raider II with a T-60 leg. Unfortunately, since the frame was stolen I killed them first, how is that stealing? the whole set is marked as not mine and it's in the middle of Sanctuary. I worry that if I ever get back into it without sneaking, I'll be notified that like 5 companions hated that.
I've been going up to people wearing power armor and stealing their fusion cores forcing them to exit the suit. I then set the suit to my ownership through console commands and take it. I've amassed 15 suits so far.
Go to the national guard depo and its locked in a cargo crate outside. But be careful of a twelve foot tall nuclear powered ******* that can be set free because its door is also linked to the mag lock system.
You can also get another set that can be either full or partial out in The Glowing Sea. I have a full suit of X-01 and two partial suits of X-01 at this point. I painted it with shark hotrod decals.
if you want a full set look for a building called 35 court in this general area at the roof is a full set of x01 you have to fight a sentry bot and a assultron before you can get it though
Hey, say what you want, but I found early on that raider power armor was better than the T-45 **** ....then I paid lip-service to the BoS long enough to get some T-60 and I gave my crap, cobbled together sets to Cait.
You can find anywhere from 5-20 cores around old military checkpoints (there's a ton of them, but they're secondary locations so they don't show up on the map) and you get like 30+ just from around BoS areas like the Prydwen and the airport.
Also if you side with the Institute or Railroad (like the Commonwealth Scum you are) and take on BoS Knights they drop a ******** of them. Can easily have close to 200 after level 50 if you actively seek out cores.
Go Sentry Bot hunting, Easy ass kills for guaranteed 2 Fusion Cores.
Always check basements or rooftops for FC generators(very seldom will it be on the roof though)
Build a Teir 3/4 Weapons vendor, you can buy them for roughly 240cX2 (Restocks every 24/48 hrs)
This one is a little cheaty.... Put 3 into pickpocketing and go to the boston airport and steal them off the BHoS knights wait for them to get back in and then steal it again (rinse and repeat)*(make sure you quicksave between incase you get caught)
This helps, but at the same time, I still go through cores at a stupid rate because I don't watch how many grenades I have left until I inject a fusion core.
it must be the scrounger perk or something for me...but now I have more cores than I know what to do with....but I still don't go around in power armor all that much....it's too much of a hassle having to go back and repair that **** every time I get back to Sanctuary.
It's really not better than T45, there's only one way it really beats it. I just did a comparison between a set of Raider II armour compared to a set of T45 and T45b, here's the comparison
Raider II has:
622 physical resistance, 250 energy resistance, 1050 radiation resistance, 700 total health,112.1 weight and is worth 493 caps
T45A has:
500 physical res, 310 energy res, 1050 radiation res, 450 total health, 95 weight and is worth 600 caps
T45B has:
620 physical res, 430 energy res, 1050 radiation res, 580 total health, 96.4 weight and is worth 630 caps
So there is one(technically 2, but 2 physical resistance is but a drop in the sea next to the 620 you already have) way in which Raider armour is better than T45 and it's not even that important a stat for it to be better on, so you need to repair it less, that doesn't make that big a difference really. So no, raider is the worst of the power armours, the order(worst to best) is as follows: Raider, T45, T51, T60 and then X0-1
Nevermind, I just had a look at the youtube link.
The quality just makes it look like the blue bolt in the first half of the vid is a different one from the bolt in the other half.
Mine was playing the classical music radio station and watchin three bloatflies attacking a wastelander in slow motion/VATS until they were all basically dead
**TsuBeepo used "*roll picture*"** **TsuBeepo rolled image** I always loved crippling people's legs so I could chase them around while they **** their pants until I got bored. I never finished them off, I just hoped they lived very difficult lives.
