The Japanese Constitution grants all citizens freedom of religion, and even if you are not a citizen, you are still legally free to have any religion you want. Your religion is of no importance to the government. There is even a small amount of Muslims currently living in Japan, with mosques to go to. I'm not an expert on Japan. I'm just saying that this reeks of ******** and I demand a few more reliable sources.

I'm currently living in japan. They don't have that many mosques maybe like a handful per ken. They are allowed to have islamic beliefs and such but its not the law that is banning them its more of their environment. Japanese culture is quite passive aggressive and racism is everywhere, and especially if ure wearing traditional clothing (or any other special clothing) from your own country in japan or such, they will judge you and treat you different. I have seen cases where police stopped a muslim kid from praying in a park because its not sanctioned for praying, since its a public property. Since Islam is not a big religion here they almost treat it like a cult. They have an underlying understanding that Islam unites the middle east into one super country at times (like those muslim leaders saying impregnate the foreigners so that we can take over), and if they let too much muslim activity go on, whether it be recruitment from mosques or immigration of muslims increasing, they shut down the borders and do routine checks on the mosques to prevent japanese peopel from converting.

tl;dr japanese people dont like muslims but no law against being one

This is true, I've only been a few times on tourist visas. As for #2 in the content isn't it hard for anyone to get permanent residency if they aren't already a citizen?

there is no concept of citizenship here.
you get a foreigner residency card with your visa on it, and the visa has to be renewed every 2 to 4 years.
u get foreigner status for life, permanent residency can only be applied if you live more than 10 years, but still u have to go every 7 to 10 years to get a new residency card, so its not really a citizenship. unless you have a specific skill or are in a special situation, this cannot be avoided.
a summarized version of the legislation here:
www.tokyoimmigration.jp/eng/eijyu.html
japan is one of the xenophobic societies in the world.
they make sure u know that ure not japanese when you live here too long
its ******* stupid but oh well

Huh, how about that. I thought Japan did citizenship through blood, I know someone through my visits that got permanent residency because her parents were Japanese even though she was born and lived in Canada for her whole life.

lol i meant for foreigners.

if ure born in japan or if ur parents are japanese u get japanese nationality, not citizenship. the concept of citizenship is lost here, it cant be categorized into the same system as america.
btw foreigners cant own land even if they lived here for a 100 years. they need to co-sign it with a japanese person. just an interesting fact.

It's probably because the Jihadists stole their whole kamikaze gig and renamed it and all.

As a person that have been to Japan, I must say this is absolutely, 100% false.
There were several muslims around. Both Japanese and Arabic.

Yeah.. no.
And also, anyone who likes that is pretty retarded. I don't care if you like Islam or not, but imagine if it banned [insert your religion here or lack of].

good ******* luck, a work visa wont be renewed by the government after 3 years, within those 3 years you can take a citizenship test and if you pass you're granted citizenship but you basically have to be a professor of Japanese history in order to pass because the fail rate is something like 97%.
