is there a difference between nautical miles and regular miles?
User avatar #16 to #13 - BlizzXonetwothree (02/07/2014) [-]
Nautical miles are based on the circumference of the Earth, while regular (or statute, if you use both daily) miles are an arbitrary length.

one time my dad and I were fishing on our boat and I reeled in an octopus with an eel wrapped around the line, right when I was pulling them both out of the water a shark came up and bit the line in 2 with both of them in his mouth. it looked to be a tiger shark, didn't get a good look
