So sick of employees who'd act like this. Granted the kid was young, some people just think you can't handle any kind of fake violence. Kids pretend to play with guns all the time, hell my friends played war games a lot, and it's not damaging.
It just takes a talk from the parent to point out "You can do this in the game, but there are consequences in real life. There are no respawns or save files to reload in the real world, so be careful how you act" -pretty much my mom's exact words
gif slightly related
But parents don't do that... they don't care and then the youth grow up to be little ***** who think that they are edgy.
Ok and you have proof of this? My parents and my friend's parents are for the most part, strict enough to teach us how to act in society and how to differentiate games from reality.
A kid acting rude or throwing a tantrum isn't bad parenting, most kids have done this, and can quickly have it taken out of their system by proper parenting. If anything, blame a society that makes it easy for kids to have access to electronics, making grounding.taking away items little to nothing, and stopping anything as small as spanking a child who won't shape up.
It's mostly just straw men used to make younger kids sound bad.
WTF are you arguing for? You basically said that you and your friends have good parents. Congradulations. Then you said that kids won't act bad if they have good parenting. Good ******* job Sherlock. Then you say that I should blame society. I DO. My point was that parents aren't responsible enough to teach their kids the difference. Mine did, my friends did, yours and your frinds did. But the current generation clearly doesn't.
I AM in the current generation, and I rarely, if EVER, see younger kids acting like assholes in public. On the internet? Yes, but so do adults as well, its anyone hiding behind anonymity who usually likes rude, regardless of age.
And you don't blame society, you blame the parents. They're stripped of being able to be strict because of society saying that kids need to be coddled and can't be given negative reinforcement, regardless of the parent who's TRYING to teach their kid right and wrong.
You grasp at straws by generalizing all young kids, which is just immature and idiotic. And you blame parents that you haven't actually observed, you just assume if a kid is rude and annoying, he's automatically been raised wrong. Everyone has different temperaments and they have to be handled accordingly, and some kids don't shake bad habits until they enter the end of high school and go into University.
You're just getting pissed off over things you can't bother to even try and understand, and claim everyone must be below you and that it's everyone's fault but the child's.
I blame society, but I can't just tell society what to do can I? Parents are not dictated by society, they can parent their kids the way they want (aside from abuse and neglect). But they don't have to buy a game that they don't want their children to play. And maybe it's just in my area but everyone (majority) around the age of 12 is a piece of ****, and their parents don't care. I wasn't pissed off. All I said was that people don't parent the way that you and I wish they would.
Good talk though. God I love this site way more than YouTube
I don't say anything about their parenting purely based on the child's actions, especially if the parent isn't around. Some kids will do **** only because they think if their parent never finds out, they're not punished, and are you gonna go all the way out to find this kid's name and his parents? Most people don't and the kid preys on that, it's a form of semi-anonymity.
And when I said society to blame I mean that spanking being outlawed, when it really didn't even cause the "emotional damage" it was thought to, it was just a reminder to shut up and not be an ass, and parents can't even do that without a CPS call and media attacks, it's so ridiculous.
I mainly wish parents could have more control in this world, and kids weren't so freaking protected at every opportunity. In public high schools here, they're actually trying to make it impossible to fail.
