My First ever video game as a young lad was Spyro, Ripto's Rage. And I Loved it. The violence was tame and didn't come off as graphic to me. Then came Sly Cooper, which was awesome. Then came Jak 2. That game had a lot of similarities to older GTA games (stealing cars, killing hundreds of innocent civilians just for the hell of it) and I was a timid little wuss for that portion of my childhood. I never acted on any of the things depicted in the game, just played it because it was a fun game that I deeply Loved. I knew the difference between right and wrong. Did I ever want to slaughter the assholes at school? oh hell yes, but I never got the idea from he games I played. That's just me. Sure I would channel some of my negative emotions from the jerks and assholes into the game and let off the steam there, but never in real life. Because i knew what was right and was wasn't. That's the point.
