What confuses me most about that is why someone decided a nuclear wasteland was the perfect setting for a fanfic about some pink, purple and whatever ponies named things like sparkles and rainbow - why did that seem to fit for them?
I don't even know, I just remember hearing about a MLP/Fallout crossover fanfic a long time ago. I didn't pay attention to it. Little girls' shows aren't my cup of tea.
Never read it myself, but I've heard about it while looking for FO fanfics. (scarce on the ground)
Apparently it's pretty good, (good enough to spawn a game-mod off it?) but I can't get past the whole "my little pony" thing. No matter how good it is or how 'Fallout' the writing is, if it's got horse-people in it then it just shatters my SoD.
Then you have not played either Morrowind or even Oblivion. Both of those games fit excellent better than Skyrim ever will.
I felt more immersed in Morrowind within the first 10 minutes than i did in my entire playthrough of Skyrim. And it isn't nostalgia speaking either, since i hadn't touched Morrowind before i played Skyrim.
I won't be playing Fallout 4 either. Not because I can't afford it, **** I could have gotten the ******* collector's edition. I can't afford the platforms required to PLAY Fallout 4.
i must be the only one thats not going to get fallout 4 for a while. gunna wait for community's reaction. then wait till all the DLCs are released. plus, we all know the fallout series is famous for bugs so im gunna wait for them to patch that **** out too.
if i wanted to play a buggy game that shouldnt be released yet, i would check out the early access game section on steam. if im going to get fallout im waiting around a month because bethesda likes to push games out the door with poor bug testing.
Mininum? I have 8 GBs, but I can't think of a game that would take all of that up. That's basically all you need, if you're going to run one thing at a time.
I got 16 gigs so it's not an issue fore me, but no 8 gigs is still a decent amount of ram to have modern day, will become a minimum in the next few years probably, but right now, most modern games only require around 6 idk fo4's specs so they might be 8, not gonna look it up right now because i dont care enough..
Mannnnnny more people prefer Fallout over Tomb Raider, it's also more publicised, I've not seen a single Tomb Raider ad on youtube, on billboards, on tv, but have seen many for Fallout
Oh I agree, Fallout 4 will blow Tomb Raider way out of the water, and the idea that they think that it will somehow trumpf Fallout is just plain stupid. I'm just saying some people just doesn't like the Fallout games, myself included.
About the hype, I disagree. All they do is show gameplay footage, it's the fans who overhype it, not actually Beth themselves. But, I mean, from what I've seen, the new features are something to at least be excited about.
If they could improve their writing, that'd be great though, because they're a bit lacking in that department.
Patches, faggot. Beth Games are so ******* intricate, with so many tiny processes and variables to keep track of, so of course they're going to be buggy. They're just way, way to complicated to not have bugs.
Community patches fix that issue. Having Skyrim patched and running over a hundred mods, I rarely ever get crashes or any other issues.
You know, whenever I mention to someone, be it classmates, people I play games with or just somewhere on the net, I feel like I'm begging just by saying I'm in a **** situation.
I appreciate the thought though, if you weren't being sarcastic.
It's actually not even that buggy. The worst thing I've seen is a couple broken animations that fixed themselves. And I haven't had one single crash in the 40+ hours I've been playing.
What I really like about the game so far, is that they actually fixed the NPC pathfinding. The AI has decent collision detection now, even for modded items, so NPCs stop and find a way around an obstacle rather than walking continually into a wall. So the base building doesn't suck like RTS did for Fallout 3 & New Vegas.
What this guy said.... Even if it's as good as... hell even if it's better in every way somehow! it's still not as established, or hyped which means it won't get enough coverage which means it won't make enough sales and even if they got an equal amount of coverage somehow and even if it was a better game there are still far to many fanboys that will still mindlessly buy fallout 4 cause fallout 4.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm more of an elder scrolls fan than a fallout fan. Fallout is just a bit too gray for my tastes, I like my games with a little more color, fallout is fine, and I'm glad it's successful so Bethesda can make other games that tailor to my interests. But the first tomb raider was a real surprising hit and I might pick up rise of the tomb raider before FO4 tbh.
I'll have to wait and see if it's any good of course, I heard about all the microtransactions and it's starting to get me worried. As long as it stays in the multiplayer no one ever plays the game for I wouldn't mind.
Tomb Raider might have had a chance if it was released on PC/PS4 simultaneously. In that case I probably would have played TR before Fallout 4 since I'm really into TR and never laid hands on Fallout (yet).
Witcher 3 and MGS 5 are still big contenders for it imo. I think the biggest factor will probably be how buggy Fallout 4 is on release and how long they take to patch it.
I dunno about MGS 5. A pattern I keep seeing with that game is people praising the hell out of it at first, but as they keep playing said praises slowly start to vanish. Not to mention that everyone agrees that it feels unfinished, especially near the end.
These words of wisdom brought to you from the same people who thought it was a brilliant idea to port minecraft pocket edition to PC.
They ported the dumbed down, graphically inferior version of an already existing PC game back to PC.
its already been confirmed it has microtransactions, people are put of by that alone, it was just stupid to release it with fallout, i was actually excited for tombraider originally but putting it up with fallout the hype i have made me forget about tombraider. putting a burger next to a pickle and asking what you would prefer, the burger will most of the time win, pickleraider has no chance.
Fallout 3 bored the mind out of me and while I liked New Vegas better, once I reached Vegas I just sort of gave up. I find the shooting clunkey, the characters forgettable Apart from a small few. and the quests repetitive. Fallout 4 does look like it's going to improve on many of these things but due to past experiences I'm just going to either wait for sale or pirate it.
That said, I did enjoy the world of fallout, finding out about the resource war and all was really interesting, but it did feel alot more like 20-30 years after the nukes dropped rather then over a hundred or something. You would expect some ******* trees at this point, and for people to atleast start rebuilding the citys instead of living in corrugated metal shacks.
Not yet, but I have interest in them as they seem to stay more logical in relation to time passing, like in two with more flora and stuff and the world seems less comical considering it's the bloody apocalypse.
MS...you had a good run with Halo 5...dont **** up by being idiots...NOTHING is going to stand against Fallout. Every time a major Bethesda title is released it crushes all competition and wins game of the year.
Too bad. Tripla a **** mongers count on the apathy of faggots like you who get bored of hearing people complain about the **** the companies do. Call of duty is the prime example of triple a ******** : release the sake ******* game every damn year, change nothing, and market it in such a way that allows granny smith to by little jimmybob the same thing for christmas. People are sick of seeing it, and theyre going to keep calling these companies on it and are going to keep calling call of duty **** .
How about instead of being a ******* and whining about the people who are sick of call of duty being **** , YOU GET ANGRY AT THE COMPANIES FOR CONTINUING TO PRODUCE **** THAT PEOPLE THINK IS GARBAGE?
Its retards like you that have turned the game industry in to the steaming **** hole it is today.
fallout 3 was a turd
bethesda produced games are usually turds these days...(their last good game was the shivering isles expansion for tes 4 oblivion)
games published bethesda usually aren't turds.
numbers show fallout 4 will be a turd
Again, the difference is Bethesda doesnt copypaste their games and release them every single year, and they at least try to make an effort to change things while still adhering to the conventional formula. Call of Duty is "we can market this game to dumb kids and dumb parents who'll buy this **** every single year and we can maximize profit by just remaking the last one we did but slightly different so the dumb parents and dumb kids dont catch on"
"but sir won't the gaming community as a whole catch on to this right away and complain?"
"of course but we can always count on idiots like timmylickens to defend us tooth and nail and breed apathy by complaining about the people complaining, which will let us continue to do this **** every year"
It is literally the same god damn linear shooter with a focus on multiplayer inhabited by middle schoolers it has always been. Advanced Warfare ill admit was decent, but every other one since has changed very little, if at all.
Aside from the fact that CoD has changed so much, people are asking for it to go BACK to how it was. You'll never stop saying it's **** because it's popular and cool to say it is.
It's fine if you don't like it, but you're a complete faggot if you try to stop people who enjoy it from enjoying it just because you're a little baby who can't stand that people like something he doesn't.
it hasn't changed in the slightest and only the desperate fanboys clinging to their yearly purchases try to convince themselves it's changed "just so much".
people aren't asking for it to go back to how it was before it's changed, because it hasn't. theyre asking for it to not be **** anymore.
Except that I am the more intelligent one because i see a problem in this idustry and want ti fixed, meanwhile you're settling for mediocrity and defending the problem because you're bored of hearing about how it's a problem.
Im thumbing you down because your comments are junk.
i guess
everyone to their preference
turns out a big portion of people who played fallout 1 and 2 actually disliked or didn't give a **** about the ammount of exploring you could do in fo3
so i'd say it's even more common for some fallout fans to dislike all games in the franchise but one
The hype for fallout 4 will probably kill the game for me just like how they did with Witcher 3. Still haven't bothered finishing that game since so many cunts decided to spoil everything on this website
game gonna be amazing but these fanboys won't stop over hyping it
Hold the **** up. Say what you want about Fallout 4 (I think it'll be good, just never personally got into Fallout) but don't go bringing the best game ever created -developed by God herself and handed down to the greatest studio in the world- into this.
That's why I'm going to play it but I don't watch any of the new trailers or gameplay videos or hype videos etc. I did that for MGSV and it would have been a lot funner if I hadn't watched all YongYea videos on it
Idk what they mean by "stand against it" but TR isn't going to fail because of FO4. News flash; not everyone likes Fallout. I'd say the only thing hurting TR is that fact that there isn't any multiplayer. That is like saying Black Ops 3 is going to fail because Fallout comes out 3 days later. Cut it with the Fallout 4 is god **** .
Instead it's going to fail because of the same reasons the first reboot title did. EA vastly over-estimates sales in comparison to their advertising budget. They spend more money on spreading the word than they actually make back on purchases, even when it hits respectable sales numbers. Also, because it's a DLC riddled mess.
You know, i hope it does. Fallout 4 looks amazing so that Tomb Raider game would also have to be pretty damn good if it could measure up. And i am always in favor of more good games.
