Since my last post of the ******** horse mechanic was surprisingly well received, I decided to make a comp of other webms for Metal Gear. I'll probably make a couple more comps in preparation for the release of Phantom Pain.
The gameplay for the newest one looks tight as ******* ever, being silly at times, but the story is going to most likely be like spec ops the line, which is pretty much every other metal gear.
It can be what you want it to be really. You can play high intense stealth, or just run and gun. Comedy can be found everywhere though, and the amount of secrets and Easter eggs these games have are unreal.
Kojima stated in interview that the stealth and combat get strenuous and tense, so he always put humor in the game in order to relieve that tension. i think that unlike what sharknik says, MGS is a love letter to action movies, but with kojima's own twist on it.
That speed run webm made me think of this one. It's the best run of the final level of Dishonored. This sucker just wrecks everything put in front of him.
I refuse to believe a skeletal autistic 11-year-old became a buff ass senator that got accepted into some cushy ivy league school under a sports scholarship within 2 weeks.
I'll only start reading the novel once they get up to date with their translations. The first volume was already a pain in the ass to read, so i'm holding off on the rest until it's done.
Well, i guess when you're in the mood for it, it reads a lot easier. But i'm generally used to reading stories in book form or on a tablet (only read Game of Thrones like that on vacation).
I dunno, though, man. Quiet can shoot your grenades out of the air so they go to places behind cover. She can shoot with you so that her shot removes their helmet and yours kills them.
Well, on a stealth run DD would be a lot better, he marks all the enemies in the area. Quiet's skills are more lethal and are better for a different run.
Quiet can be set to a stealth mode, however. Not to mention if you get her to shoot first you can de-helmet people to tranq 'em. It really depends on your playstyle, personally I like knowing that because Quiet is so far away, I won't get detected because of her. Not sure if DD would give the same luxury.
I plan to actually play all the MGS games in chronological order this time around. I'll finally get around to beating MGSV, then I'll play through Peacewalker (Skipping a few missions because I honestly fluked them, my R&D team was too weak to properly beat the Peacewalker fights, and **** that overly difficult torture segment), then hit up Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain, MGS1, MGS2, MGS4 (Skipping Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2)
My PS3 (it was classified as the family one) was taken by my mother who played games maybe one three hour session every two months when she moved two states away, so I sadly lack a PS3 to do that.
But yeah, I'm getting it on PC as well, though. Ground Zeroes was an excellent port, and I'm confident that they can do Phantom Pain justice.
Yeah, man. I'm going to play the **** out of PP. I just really hope the PvP isn't enforced. I want to build my base up for personal enjoyment/bragging rights, not have to worry about some other player sneaking in and stealing my **** .
