I worked with a group that bands these ******* for awhile and they are every bit as evil as the legends say. anyways while we were banding them one time one started to fly that shouldnt have been old enough to but ya know panic and **** damn thing flies directly towards me so i grab it by the neck to stop it soon as i do that all the other geese lose theyre *********** and bull rush me i got bit something like 40 times and knocked on my ass by a bunch of stupid ******* water turkeys. they are literally the incarnation of pure evil and hatred.
Actually I don't think I've ever personally seen a canada goose be aggressive, except when there was bread involved... but a neighbor had 5 or 6 of the white kind growing up and they were assholes... step father (after I was grown up) is a rancher and someone there decided they needed some of those plain white geese (maybe to get rid of snakes?) and they were also aggressive assholes. Canada geese really are polite geese, the photo I used was probably cropped so you couldn't see the shark bear he was fighting to save a box of puppies (also cropped out of the picture for no reason....)
They are extremely docile except around mating season - i.e. when they're in Canada. Someone from my uni was too close to one of their nests, and she needed 22 stitches.
