I have 0 problems with this. X-23 is awesome in her own right...
... too bad they settled for simply "a female wolverine" and not a new female hero in her own right, she's now even more of a shadow of Wolverine's success.
female wolverine, has 1/3 less blades than male wolverine it's better than the Thor thing, she's already an existing character with her own powers and motivations. i also think this is just a stunt to put her in the spotlight, she'll eventually abandon the title to do her own thing again and coincidentally Logan will somehow come back immediately after
Well it's a logical way to do it since she has all his power and already existed and it's not a new thing to have a minopr character replace a big one that dies or gets old
Insert feminist complain about how X-23 only has two claws, but wolverine had three; and how that somehow correlates to women being worth less than men are in today's society.
Insert rebuttal from anyone that knows anything about the comics, calling the previous commenter a flaming idiotic twat bucket. And telling them to google X-23 before speaking.
you are correct. i was about to say that. wolverine has 3 out of his knuckles, daken has 2 out of his knuckles and 1 out of his forearm, and x-23 has 2 out of her knuckles and 1 out of her foot.
Says it all really. X-23 was an interesting character in her own right that they could've taken into her own direction, instead they just pour her into the mould of a male character and replace that male character entirely.
This one I can agree with! X-23 makes a perfect logan, as she IS a clone of him, and is many years old (Comic-wise). I'm thrilled to see her in the suit, unlike She-Thor.
She-thor... Let's not talk about her.
I accept and will appreciate X-23 as the new Wolverine! At least till Logan is revived in a year or two. Whoo!
But the clothes, and the snarling I swore 23 wasn't in snarling , really? Not good. She's her own character, sure, she can take up the name, but if you make it as "female version of character", you're wasting it.
Hey this one make alot of sense, X-23 is literally a female clone of Wolverine, she's also arguably better at what she does. lets just hope they don't write it like the female thor. because then it will be **** .
"Dead" and "Comic book" doesn't go into the same sentence unless there's a 'retcon' in there. He'll be back, but still... Why does that spot need to be filled? Why not just have her be called X-23(Like normal) and in her own, unique(Like before) costume? Or have a series about HER herself not joining X-Men.
Well it makes sense storywise, you are right they could've just revived him later and leave the spot enemy ala Captain America, or left her as X-23 but still wolverine in position.
I'm fine with the female characters. It gives them a chance to create some different stories, and have some fun with it. Eventually when they go back to the male character it'll be a refreshing change. Comic writers can easily just change small things on stories to make new ones. If you take a break, a lot of the time you can come back at the character with better development and plots.
