**slobiscuit rolled image** **** that **** . was making for almost 2 hours and then had to wait to be completely dark. And then, and then the "hologram" was so ******* small... **** that **** . and it only works at one angle

I should've expected that

You did something wrong then. Mine works fine from every angle and only took about 15 minutes. Also it works in the light if you turn up the brightness. The problem is that you're incompetent.

I want to know how to make the videos that produce the 'hologram'

I would assume that 3D side by side videos would work.

It looks like you just render an object with 4 cameras one on each side.

Yeah, seems so, means you can retroactively turn something in to a hologram it seems

**whatwhen rolled image** looks pretty cool
but does it really work?

It's not as cool as you would think. You don't actually have a 3D view of it. More of a 2D view from all sides. Still would be cool to have a huge version hanging from the ceiling or something.
User avatar #4 to #3 - whatwhen (08/03/2015) [-]
yea i guess that would be pretty cool

yeah it does, I tried it. has to be completely dark and it really sucks because its so small...spent almost 2 hours making it for a tablet.
#15 to #9 - sirlorge (08/04/2015) [-]
***** , if you're using a tablet then you can make the plastic/glass trapezoids bigger. No reason for it to be so small
Also, 2 hours? Really? Seems like it'd be doable in 30 min tops once you have everything prepared

**slobiscuit rolled image** ***** I tried that, doesnt work very well actually. Youd think you can make it a lot bigger, but nah. It actually depends on the video and how much space is in the middle. The thing is different "3D hologram" videos have different sizes so there will be always that one that doesnt fit. also there really isnt a bunch of 4 face pyramid videos out there (i found like maybe 10 on youtube and most of them are anime girls dancing...and some are turned upside down)
