it's called sleep paralysis, if anyone was wondering. It's rare, i've only had it happen to me once.

Well, in sleep the brain makes a chemical that prevents movement. this is so you dont move around and act out your dreams. There are techniques to waking up from a dream, such as breathing fast. anyways, sleep paralysis is when your brain produces the chemical even after you wake up. the dark presence thing is just the brain reacting to not being able to move. you may need to look this up, im not an expert on this type of stuff

well i can tell you this. when you say, want to roll over.(in the paralysis) actually man you are making me revisit some apparently strange phenomenons that i have and i can feel my body think about this. any ways you try and roll over your arm might move. and your eyes don't stay open. you have to try so hard to get them to open just for 1 sec. and half of what you see is in the dream state. i literally am shaking my head no. because im going to tell you about the last and most recent time this happened. it was a girl in the dream. she went to kiss. and the kiss went to a demon hug. as she yelled **** you. my eyes opens but i was not awake. i was actually able to push through this and wake up but for the 5 sec that i was in that state i was 50% dream 50% vision 100% we are not on the planet we think we are., what is earth but an english word. i wish i was not so sleepy right now i would elaborate on everything. tomorrow i would be glad to talk more about this.

that'd prolly be best. there's a guy on youtube called drift0r, he used to deal alot with sleep problems. it's not really what you're describing, but maybe you'd learn something from it.

well i must say. each time it happened. it changed my world view. and i feel better about it now knowing that it has a name (somehow that matters) but you talk about a beautiful state of consciousness. oh my god just thinking about it is making me intimidated to fall asleep. even though i have to work in 5 hours. .... . .. .. .. the fj struggle. lol

I had it once when I got hit by a car and had my MCL tear. The vicodin and insomnia combined in a horrible way and I half-remember waking up unable to move while a black specter watched me from the corner of my vision. Scary ****.
