Been a while now hasn't it? Stuff has been happening these last few weeks.
But here is a new comp, this time about other deities from H.P. Lovecraft's mythos other than the iconic Cthulhu, which a lot of you have requested.
Keep in mind though, things aren't allways clear when dealing with this, some things are debatable. I would also like to point out that I haven't gotten to read any of Lovecraft's work myself (yet).
Important classifications to know.
Great Old Ones: Ancient deities that once ruled the earth, but has since fallen into a death-like sleep.
Outer Gods: Cosmic entities, influencing Earth from beyond space and maybe even time.

Yog-Sothoth
The All-in-One, The One-in-All, The Beyond One, The Key and the Gate.
An Outer God that exists within all time and space at once, but is locked outside ours. Yog-Sothoth knows all and sees all, no secret is hidden from him, and pleasing him can lead to great knowledge, though like with most other deities of the mythos, this "knowledge" can easily lead to madness. His form is described as basically a lot of glowing spheres, though may also include eyes and tendrils.
From time to time Yog-Sothoth has been called upon to assist mortals in performing occult deeds or rituals, and in one case was called upon to impregnate a woman. She gave birth to 2 sons; one humanoid, and a more monstrous one.
He is also the grandfather of Cthulhu.

Ghatanothoa
The first born of Cthulhu. Ghatanothoa is a large amorphous, and exceptionally hideous Old One. He is comparable to Medusa, but instead of turning to stone when looking at him (or just a perfect replica), you turn into a living mummy. Your body is like that of a mummy, but you remain consious, trapped inside your own leathery, immobilized corpse. Only by destroying your brain can you be set free, but before anyone can give you this sweet release, you will likely have been mad for quite a while.
Ghatanothoa came to earth from Yuggoth (Pluto in Lovecraft's fiction), brought by an ancient alien race that built a colossal fortress atop Mount Yaddith-Gho, where they trapped Ghatanothoa inside the mountain under a giant trapdoor where he remains.

Nyarlathotep
The Crawling Chaos, God of a Thousand Forms, Stalker among the Stars.
An Outer God that unlike the others are not banished, asleep, trapped or anything like that, but walks the earth in the form of a human, though also has other horrific forms. Nyarlathotep also differs in that he delights in things like cruelty, deception and manupilation, while other deities are considered "mindless" with no concept of moral, rather than being truly evil.
He is the messanger, heart and soul of the Outer Gods, enacting their will. He often tends to the others' cults while they are away, and gather more followers. It is believed that Nyarlathotep will one day destroy the human race and maybe the earth as well.

Yig
Father of Serpents
A Great Old One described as a giant snake, a snake with bat wings, or a snake-human hybrid. Yig is believed to be the prototype to pretty much all snake gods in earthly mythologies, such as Quetzalcoatl to mention one.
He is the father of serpents, and will send his serpent minions, the children of Yig, to punish people who have killed snakes in the past. This is done through either murder, or transforming the person into a snake-like creatures like himself and his children. But allthough Yig is easy to anger, he is easy to please as well.

Azathoth
The Daemon Sultan, The Nuclear Chaos, The Blind Idiot God
The lord of the Outer Gods and all existance, maybe even the creator of it. Azathoth resides at the "center of ultimate chaos" where he holds court with the other Outer Gods, with alien servants that bathe him with the sound of demonic flutes. Azathoth's appearance have never been truly described, only hinted at.
Though called "the blind idiot god", oblivious to the universe and the beings within it, he has a will of his own, which Nyarlathotep acts out for him, his son, messanger and avatar.

And that was a few of the many other entities from H.P. Lovecraft's maddening universe.
Hope you enjoyed. Got any requests for future comps? Feel free to share them. Don't forget to check out my other comps if you haven't, including Comp of Monsters, Comp of the Dead and my one and only Comp of the Gods.
