Lovecraft comp 2
Remember that Lovecraft Comp I made a while back? Well here is a new one since you liked it so much. Keep in mind I still haven't actually read any of Lovecraft's work yet.
If you are unfamiliar with the Cthulhu mythos, you should know these terms:
Great Old Ones: Ancient deities that once ruled the earth, but has since fallen into a death-like sleep.
Outer Gods: Cosmic entities, influencing Earth from beyond space and maybe even time.

Dagon
Ruler of the Deep Ones
In the depths of the ocean there is a race of fish-like, amphibious humanoids known as Deep Ones. This race is lorded over by a Great Old One appearing as a giant Deep One known as Dagon, who rules together with his consort Hydra. Cthulhu also plays a role here, together with Dagon and Hydra forming the triad of gods that the Deep Ones worship.
Like many of the others, Dagon was worshiped by secret cults, most notably the Esoteric Order of Dagon based in the (fictional) town of Innsmouth. For worshipping him, the people of Innsmouth was blessed with prosperity in the form of fish and gold. They would however need to perform human sacrifices, and bring women for the Deep Ones to mate with, creating hybrids. These hybrids looked perfectly human for the first part of their lives, but in adult age would slowly transform into Deep Ones, and then join their brethern in the sea and live eternal.

**************
The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young
Possibly the most extensively worshipped of all the lovecraftian deities, worshipped by a number of different cults, both human and non-human. ************** is an Outer God that has never actually been described, but is frequently mentioned or called upon in incantations. She is closely connected to the phrase "The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young", though there are evidence that the Black Goat is a sepperate entity, being reffered to as a "he" while ************** is a "she", among other things.
The Thousand Young or The Dark Young of ************** , are tall, pitch black, tentacle beings with a tree-like apperance. They dwell in woodlands where their mother’s cults are active, acting as proxies for ************** , as well as spreads her faith across the worlds, and devours non-cultists. They can be called upon deep in woodlands under a new moon. In cases where ************** deems a worshipper most worthy, she herself will be called upon to devour the person, and then regurgitate them as a satyr-like creature blessed with eternal life. These blessed ones are given the name
"gof'nn hupadgh ************** ".

The Spider God
A giant spider with an almost human face. Atlach-Nacha is a Great Old One that dwell in a huge cavern deep beneath Mount Voormithadreth, a mountain in what used to be a great kingdom called Hyperborea in the Arctic. Here it spins a great web between our world and the Dreamlands, a world that is normally accessed only through dreams, and which are home to many great races that only exist there. Once complete, the web will form a bridge between the worlds, which is believed to be the end of ours.

Ubbo-Sathla
The Unbegotten Source, The Demiurge
An Outer God in the form of a giant protoplasmic mass that rests in a grotto deep beneth the frozen earth. Ubbo-Sathla is said to have spawned the prototype to all of Earth’s life, and is still spontaneously generating primordial single-celled organisms that pour unceasingly from its shapeless form. Ubbo-Sathla does however take away the life of everything it’s pseudopods touches, and will one day reabsorb all life on earth.

Ithaqua
The Wind-Walker
A Great Old One that walks the Arctic and the Sub-Arctic, where he first encountered the Native Americans and inspired their tales of the Wendigo. Ithaqua is a giant with a roughly human shape and glowing red eyes, and who can control snow, ice and cold, and can walk on air like it’s solid ground. He prowls the Arctic waste where he hunts down unwary travelers and brutally kills them.
Ithaqua’s cult is small, but some people in Alaska and Siberia give him sacrifices out of fear, hoping to appease him so that he will leave them alone. Those that do are a part of his cult, are granted immunity from extreme cold. He is also served and worshipped by a number of other non-human races.
