In the books it's "Jaime Lannister sends his regards." I mean, I know they changed a lot of things in the series because of possible plotholes as the books' chapters are in a different order, but why did they change the little things like this one, I don't understand.
there have been 3 excerpts from the next book released, I believe. one is one of the Sand Snakes, one is Asha Greyjoy? and the last is Jon Snow. so if he is dead, that's gonna be one hell of a POV chapter
No, Jon hasn't had one yet.
The first extract is Arianne, going to speak to Aegon , Arya, on a mission in Braavos , and the third is Theon speaking to Stannis, and Stannis foiling the Karstark betrayal
Can't find links, but, I also am pretty sure Jon and Dany are considered the actual "main" characters, so I don't see why he would be killed off yet. If he is, they need a new Nights Watch POV character, since the last 2 books are meant to go further north than any other.
That would seem like a bit of a cop out. I suppose he has Melisandre, but if I remember the scene correctly, he had a knife in the gut, and in the spine. Hes not walking away from that through normal means
Well yeah, Melisandre is also a red priest and more powerful at the Wall. If Thoros can revive Based Beric Dondarrion so many times, no reason she can't revive Jon.
I like the Red Priests though. Thoros kept it real with the Brotherhood, bring justice and **** , reviving Beric several times. Moqorro saved MY ************* Victarion from hand cancer. Melisandre saved my OTHER ****** Mance Rayder. On top of that, it's just a cool religion. Fire everywhere and **** , thats cool. Stannis also happens to be my favourite king, and I am near certain he is widely considered the most hated king. I am alone, but I will praise the name of Stannis the ******* Mannis to the god damn grave.
Its just how they burn everything that disagrees with them. I personally like the Old Gods, with the Drowned God coming close. Mostly due to Victarion, Aeron, and Asha I respect the Mannis, but I just don't think he would make a good King. Also ma boys Doran, Barristan, Varys, and Tyrion are on team Targaryen
Well, they believe the Red God is the only god that can save anyone. A bit crazy about the burning everything part, but I do believe they want to help everyone, and try and convert people so they can be good in the eyes of R'hllor.
Get hyped for reading an essays worth of adoration for STANNIS. Stannis might not be a good king, he might be harsh, but he will keep order, he is a strong man and a leader, a proven commander, with a desire to protect the realm. He could keep Westeros safe as the Others come. He is a hard man for hard times. He does what he does not out of desire for the throne, but duty to take it, as his right. What king cares about the Wall when Wildlings were knocking? None, except Stannis. Who sailed to the Wall to save them? ******* Stannis. Who is now marching to take back Winterfell and kick the **** out of Ramsay? God damn Stannis. Who are the other options? A child of incest, a child who barely kept one city together, a pirate, or a 5 year old? Aegon is the only other option I would consider, but even then, he has barely proven himself. But, I would be stoked on him if it was just confirmed he was a Blackfyre. But even still, I would pick Stannis. Stannis held Storms End for a year, him and his men starving. He helped greatly in the Greyjoy Rebellion, even beating VICTARION GOD DAMN GREYJOY, A GOD TIER NAVAL COMMANDER in a NAVAL BATTLE. Thats HARD CORE. Stannis is a commander, a man that can lead people to battle, a man that delivers justice, a man that can keep people in order when the Others come to kill everyone. Stannis is my god damn KING.
Yeh but Stannis is a fighter, not a leader. I doubt he could keep Westeros together. NOW GET ******* HYPED FOR THE TARGARYEN SUPPORT PARAGRAPH Daenerys may not be able to hold Meeren, but thats because shes not Slaver scum. Shes trying to force them into Westerners. I mean if she governed Westeros like she did Meeren, everything would be fine and dandy. Her and Aegon are a perfect pair as well. If they marry, and ruled together, they'd be able to pretty much tackle anything. And look at their current army. The Golden Company, some of the best sellsword companies, after the ending of DoD, probably a khalasar, DORNE, The ************* Iron Fleet, and 3 massive ass dragons. Drogon shaping up to be the size of Balerion. Oh and not to mention that if they did invade, Petyr Baelish is going to probably drag the Vale into pro-Targaryen. That man will know that nothing could beat that army. Aegon did it with 300, and he had a lot less home support. And lets look at the individual Targaryen supporters. Doran Martell, running circles around everyone in Westeros. Hes on par with Petyr, plotting wise. Barristan Selmy, who once cut his way through an entire army, including the Golden Company, and then personally killed Maelys the Monstrous. Varys and Illyrio, who could cheat you out of everything you own, and make you feel bad about it. Tyrion Lannister, possibly the greatest man ever. Jon Connington, Rhaegers sword brother, and the man who if he did't have honour would've ended Robert's Rebellion Oh, and its looking like Vicatrion Greyjoy is about to join the party. The best damn admiral in the world, who fights on ships in full plate armour, because **** you, hes the most terrifying Ironborn since the Grey King, and is basically the Drowned God incarnate. Oh and the Red Priests support Daenerys. Melisandre is the only one backing Stannis
They might have the better army, all that **** , but thats not the point. Dany doesn't know the Others are back and RIGHT THERE. Aegon doesn't know either, and will care more about getting his kingdom. Stannis KNOWS, he wants the throne so he can PROTECT the kingdom, not control it. Everyone else wants power, everyone else is a conniving **** , unfit to rule in the circumstances, or doesn't want to. No one cares about stopping the apocalypse except Stannis and the Nights Watch. The throne is his by rights, and he deserves it, for all he has gone through, and because he is the only one wanting it for a good purpose. Victarion may be my favourite character, but I don't think he is out to JOIN Dany. I think the idea is to kidnap her. I greatly like half the characters who support the Targaryens, but Stannis is the only one I truly could consider a rightful king. Also, Petyr can eat a ******* ass ton of dicks. More reason to support Stannis, because he would hopefully cut the conniving cunts ******* head off, god I hate Petyr. Stannis is a man you can die for, and know you died for a good purpose, to protect Westeros. Die for Aegon, die for one of two exiled houses. Die for Dany, die for a child who banished one of her best advisors. Die for Tommen, die for a child. Die for Rickon, die for an even younger child. Die for Euron, die for a half mad glory hunter. But die for Stannis? Die for your people, for your kingdom, to bring the world one step closer to safety. If Dany arrives, if Stannis could convince her the Others exist, and dragons would, you know, **** em up', then **** would be solid as **** . The Targaryen army against the Others, thats it, it's ******* over, they'll call it the god damn Short Night. But who would believe him? Why would Dany believe her enemy? I suppose though, it wouldn't be unreasonable, given she has dragons and **** . But, even still, Stannis is the only one who actively works to beat them. No one else listened. No one else will.
I sort of agree, but he doesn't care that much. After he defeated the Wildlings, he basically told the Watch to give him loads of stuff, and then abandoned them again. Yeh hes got men up there, but thats because where his court is at. Stannis is a great man, but I believe he has no right. He says its his right by birth-well its not. Thats a Targaryen. And if he claims right by conquest, well Tommen has effectively conquered. Stannis might take the North-but what then? After the Red Wedding, what power does the North have? Not enough to stand against any of the other Kings/Queens. Half the Stormlands fight him, and he other half is being beaten over by Aegon. I think he should take the Stormlands, and be happy with that. The Baratheons were Targaryens, and their greatest supporters. Let Stannis keep the tradition
He left, because he needed more men, and the support of the kingdom, to go back and fortify the wall better. He can't protect the whole Wall with what he had. And it is his by conquest. Aegon the Conqueror took Westeros by force and conquest, and they lost it when Robert took it by force too. Saying "The Baratheons have no claim" is horse **** , because by the same logic, neither to the Targaryens. If one family can conquer Westeros by force, any other can too. Just because one family ruled it longer makes no difference. Then, by the laws of Westeros, it goes to Stannis, as none of his supposed sons are his own. Tommen has conquered nothing, he is just believed to be a legitimate heir, yet is a bastard of incest. Everyone left Stannis when he lost the battle at the Blackwater. But he persists, because he wants to protect that ******* ungrateful kingdom, the kingdom that spurned him and turned away from him, their rightful king. The North also has tons of power. The Lannisters will now be occupied with Aegon, but the North and the Riverlands almost definitely secretly hate them still, and the Freys. They will join Stannis, for exactly the reasons Davos said. Vengeance, for their murdered king and queen, for their murdered brothers and sons. The North ******* remembers, and with Stannis at the helm, they are bound to mass slaughter Freys and Boltons, in the name of their dead and living king.
I can see the Freys getting slaughtered (almost. but I think they're almost too hated to go down so easily) but I don't think the Boltons will be so easy to kill. Ramsay deserves it so bad, but in aSoIaF (as in real life) those who should die very rarely do. that said, he's stupid enough to get himself killed. Roose, on the other hand, seems a little too smart. he's a survivor, and I can imagine him getting out of this somehow. (though, by siding with the lannisters, he's reduced his survivability somewhat.)
To get the North fully, Stannis needs a Stark. If Davos locates Rickon, then he has a chance. Or preferably, Bran comes back, and as the most powerful warg ever, ***** up everything. Or maybe, as Jon hads effectively 'died', his oath no longer binds him?
Thats what everyone says, if Melisandre brings Jon back, he died and would no longer be in the Watch. And Robb had named Jon an heir. So, get HYPED for that. I don't see Bran coming back though, he is a cripple and becoming a tree.
Yeh but I can imagine him coming back when hes like 16, riding on a big ass bear with an animal army behind him. Or maybe the new King Beyond the Wall?
And to get Jon as the official heir, we need to speak to Jason Mallister, who went with Maege Mormont to deliver the declaration of succession to Howland Reed. And as he went back to Seagard, we know they both got there
Also I really want to meet Howland Reed so we can finally know what the **** actually happened at the Tower of Joy. I personally think Jon is Lyanna/Rhaeger's son
well for all we know he is just giving Robb a knuckle sandwich in the solar plexus. Unless you've actually watched the scene you wouldn't know that he is murdering him with a knife through the ribs, this of course taking place after Robb's wife gets stabbed in the stomach whilst pregnant, resulting in death for both her and the baby.
I mean you're not spoiling it for me if that's what you're trying to do there, I'm caught up... lol I'm just pointing it out, and it's pretty clear what's going on.
In the actual story she may return and cause mischief because
A: Jamie and Catelyn"s descriptions of her did not match
and B: She remained loyal to Robb even after his death by publicly morning and defying her family.
I hope not, I enjoy both for what they are respectively but the books are not limited by things like budgets.
I am aware that he has a back-up plan in place for if he dies before the story is concluded however the spirit of the books has always seemed much heavier to me.
I also seem to remember him saying something about two distinct endings between the books and the movie, whether that simply means a different characters perspective of the same events or a completely different conclusion is up to the fat man
She was so snobbish and stuck up she'd fit right in with any show about modern high schoolers. I saw that as a kid and seriously, what was her problem???
I heard he said it was because he felt TV acting wasn't as creative as he'd hoped, and that it was a stale and repetitive process most of the time. He ditched it for theatre acting.
