You see kids this is why we always sign a prenup before our penis go up idk i was trying to hard to make that rhyme it was bad whatever im going to bed
I never liked the Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon style.
As for the Joker, I think they did great.
It was a big enough change that you couldn't nit pick things. And how they still worked in Harley (although they dumbed her down) was pretty good.
The first season of that series was pretty much crap but it got better, still above Beware the Batman.
that show in general was pretty good in my opinion i especially like the bit where clay face was created and it was just kinda sad watching the story unfold. i dont remember much else about it though
This is the version I grew up on along with Batman Beyond .
I didn't know what all of the villains usually looked like for the majority of my younger years.
I still really like this Joker, even though Mark Hamill is definitely better.
I liked him; he reminded me a lot of the Monkey King from Jackie Chan Adventures in his mannerisms and stature - which actually turned out to be understandable seeing as a lot of the animation and drawing style is similar between the two shows anyway.
The Batman was the one animated series I couldn't watch, the style/redesigns weirded me out to much at the time. Is it worth going back again and trying to watch it?
It's better after season 1.
Personal Ranking.
Batman the Animated Series
Batman Beyond
Batman and the Justice League (JL and JLU)
The New Batman Adventures
The Batman
Brave and the Bold (haven't watched most of it, kinda hokey for me)
Beware the Batman
Depends, it's not the most mature take on the character (far from the least mind you) so it might not vibe real well with you being older, I liked it alot growing up but I can't say how well it would hold up.
The Animated Series is so damn good it spawned everyone's favorite hot crazy clown chick sidekick.
That's right, Harley didn't exist in any comics before the show. That's some impressive **** if you ask me.
Right? I remember watching an interview with the writers too, and they said that the main reason the thought of making her in the first place was because they needed someone to pop out of a cake and didn't want it to be the joker. They created her to do that but then scrapped the idea and had the Joker do it anyway.
And so we are blessed with this brilliant character.
Almost Got'em is my all time favorite episode, not even because Nostalgia Critic said so, but because it is. On its own it could win an emmy or an oscar for how great the story telling was, the setting, the mood, and by god a twist that not only made sense, had hints, SUBTLE HINTS, that was so damn good it STILL catches me off guard when it happens! The best part, the entire episode was just a set up from the start! The reason the baddies are together was to reveal Joker's plot!
The show is just so well written I can't stand it, I wish more shows were this well written!
Ironically, the best ones aren't even involving Joker, they involve guys like Daggett and Thorne, who cause a lot of the villains to form, not to mention the fact that people like them exist.
Clayface hardly talks, his story is the shortest, he asks joker about Catwoman, and the whole time was a setup for the Batman to figure out where Catwoman is and rescue her, that was the point of the episode, to catch Joker's scheme.
I'll admit i didn't like Leto as the Joker when I first saw the photo's and **** . But after seeing the trailer I'm happy, he's got that surrealism of Ledgers Joker along with the mania of the older versions for what I've seen.
I just hope they don't turn his torture of Harley Quinn into some sort of torture porn where she falls for him because she's too kinky to torture and actually show how ****** up their relationship and mostly he is. Like Stockholm syndrome or just classic ol' Domestic Abuse or something....
Leto's Joker has grown on me, I'll admit, but I still need to see and hear more than his little bits in the newer trailer. I'm hoping he'll be great, because I'm looking forward to Suicide Squad more than BvS, Civil War, and ID4-2
Apparently he's going to be limited in Suicide Squad, but since Batman appeared and in the trailer for BvS it shows the torn Batsuit with Joker type stuff on it , it wouldn't be surprising if he's limited in Suicide Squad to set up another Batman movie. Which could explain the metal teeth. Batman beating his **** up.
Honestly I'm glad to see a completely fresh take on the joker. He is representative of a whole different kind of madness than any jokers we have seen on film before. I think it is cool to see a wild-and-out crack addict type maniac.
the new faceless joker is worse than original sin
completely losses the comedic angle, makes jokes only he finds funny
and has this weird thing with taking off all the clothes off women, catwoman, posion ivy(seriously, i havent seen a female he goes up against him in the new 52, where he doesnt capture them at some point, take all their clothes off, make a few rape jokes and then jut leave, yup thats the joker) they got rid of all his personality and **** that mae the joker different and replaced it with him fixing his missing face every 5 min **** new 52
im so glad it failed
hopefully when the reboot catwoman(like 4th time now) they will do more than just over sexualize her, cause her most recent comic, she has zero personality, except for *******
she ***** like 5 guys before the 5th comic is done, like 2 of these guys after she watches the other 3 get killed, so she isnt really catwoman now is she, cause catwoman never just ****** everyone and anyone(oh god they made starfire **** everything to, now in dc its just how they show affection, ******* everything)
im going to stop ranting
everyone (not trying to defend the new 52 and big daddy dc) really hates the new 52, even dc hates the new 52, ARE YOU READY FOR DC TO RESET THEIR UNIVERSE
(in the words of jon tron)
AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAIIIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
oh holy **** dc how could you do this to me
rob liefield in charge of the deathstroke comics oh my ******* god what is dc thinking
I feel sorry for Jared Leto, he has such big shoes to fill. I think that even if he delivers a solid performance he will still be **** on for not beating Ledger's outstanding performance, from the moment they mentioned Leto was casted as the joker I was excited and I look forward to seeing him in this film.
Mark Hamill definitely has the best Joker voice.
Heath Ledger made the Joker a person, and combined all the terribleness of the comic Joker with all the terribleness of a person.
Jared Leto. I don't know. We'll have to see if he's gonna be good or not.
I used to hate how Leto's Joker looked... until I started to think about why he'd look that way. The biggest thing for me were the tattoos and the teeth. While I haven't thought of any reasons for the tattoos, I have thought about the teeth, and it actually makes sense. I mean, look at Batman, especially Batfleck, and honestly tell me that the person who gets beat up by him constantly wouldn't have lost all his teeth in the process.
Yeah, that's just something I can't rationalize...
I mean, Ben Afleck is great because if you saw him walking down the street, you wouldn't expect him to be Batman. He's also gotten in great shape for the role and apparently is a huge Batman fan.
Supes has already proven that he can play the part, as the only complaints I've ever seen in Man of Steel were involving the plot.
Wonder Woman has the looks, but I don't know her acting career very well...
Harley looks absolutely amazing... My worry is how pretty much one voice actor has dominated Harley's character for so long that people might reject this live action adaptation if it's too different.
But then there's Lex Luthor and the new Joker... I just don't see DC's reasoning behind them. How am I supposed to believe that person could become president of the US as Lex and how am I supposed to accept a Joker with those tattoos?
lol you're right, a 6'4" super buff billionaire doesn't look anything like a undercover vigilante. don't get me wrong, when i heard that ben affleck was going to be batman, i was on of those people who were devistated, "you mean the guy who did that ****** daredevil flick"? But i must admit as a die hard batman fan, he's giving me a little hope that he'll do good. the batsuit looks like it's made of duct tape to me, from far away it looks good but up close i just can't get the image of duct tape out of my head.
Im already sold on Henry Cavill on being superman, he really looks the part. however i didn't want man of steel to be brooding, i wanted a movie where superman was brought up to be a good man, a normal kid and when he finds out about his past takes on his identity of superman and learns that the world is full of bad things and it hits him hard. but he spends his time saving people and giving hope to the people of this dark world. he needs a smile on his face, nice to people, have hope for humanity. in man of steel all i saw was a confused man trying to find his place in this alien world, they said "hope" a couple of times in the movie, but i never really felt inspired.
can't talk too much on Gal Gadot, she kind of has an accent which really isn't that bad. she's supposed to be an amazon i wouldn't expect her to sound like an american. I don't know much about her acting so that's really all i got.
Harley has got to be tied for my favorite comic character and i love everything i've seen of margot robbie, sure she dosn't sound like harley quinn but i'm sure i can get past that, as long as she stays true to the actual character herself.
when I first saw Jared leto's joker, i hated it. all the tattoos the metal teeth. over time i knew why he shouldn't have pearly whites, no joker should they should, and the joker HAS had tattoos in the past but nothing on this kind of scale. Now i'm actually starting to like this joker, heath was such a great joker, but for that franchise. I expect Jared's joker to actually be joking around not caring about the destruction he leaves behind, instead of a heath ledger reboot.
and i just straight up don't like jesse eisenberg's luthor. you can't be intimidated by that child face of his.
The thing is that the movie is for the audience, so when we see Ben, nobody sees Batman. So it doesn't matter if he's 6'4 and buff, as long as we see the actor. And the batsuit often looks bad because of the lighting... he's supposed to be in the shadows and in the dark, so when it shows him in the light with white backgrounds, it doesn't look that good. I personally like it as it's getting definite inspiration from the comics, but just putting him in a textureless suit would be much worse.
I feel like Superman's character will never make audiences happy. He's been around the longest, so he's had so many different versions that so many people grew up with. The dark and brooding Supes that was introduced by destroying cities by trying to save the world set us up for this new movie. People say "Why would Batman fight Superman?!" but then they go on and complain about Superman being dark and destructive... The fight's set up specifically because Batman can't trust him!
I just can't get past the tattoos because it involves him getting them. It just doesn't seem like him to be like "You, Mister Needle-dum, write 'Damaged' on my forehead!"
...it's just...the wrong kind of weird.
when i saw mark hamill in the flash as the trickster, it pretty much proved to me that despite his age, he could still play a live action joker instead of just voicing him.
