I don't even know why I bother reading the feminist/vegan posts anymore, they just end up getting me mad thinking about it too much.

i was vegan and seriously people who knows what they are talking about don't make fun of vegans.... idiots who think you can only obtain protein from meat makes fun of vegans...

the only supplement i ever took was B12.. all the others are easily found once you actually care about what you stuff in your face... now embrace the red thumbs

Meat doesn't have VITAMINS in it. Just saying.
User avatar #80 to #78 - givememoarpony (04/24/2014) [-]
Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and D are the most abundant ones in meat. There are more vitamins in meat, of course, but these are the most common and apparent ones.

MYTH: Vegetarians and vegans are always trying to force their lifestyle on others.

FACT: This impression is made by the loud minority just like every other group of people; every vegetarian and vegan that I know doesn't even bring it up unless specifically asked about their diet.

MYTH: Meat contains essential vitamins not found in plants.

FACT: Vitamin B12 is found in nutritional yeast and a few other non-supplemental sources. Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in Flax seeds. ALL essential amino acids can be found in plants, Whole grain rice + Lentils is a complete protein meal. ( there are many other combinations )

Anyone who says eating meat is not natural is retarded but anyone who says all vegans are stupid and incapable of being healthy are equally as retarded.

My cousin's wife is a "vegetarian" because she doesn't agree with eating animals.

But she eats chicken and fish.

I know a vegetarian feminist that always readily argues that eating meat/killing is not natural because we've 'evolved past it', but that government isn't natural because we're supposed to live in the wild.

Annoys the ******* hell out of me...

dont we have teeth for a ****** reason
User avatar #118 to #99 - themalherbes (04/24/2014) [-]
I've always been told that the front of our teeth are designed for cutting, the canines are designed for ripping and the molars are designed for chewing. which means that we are what's called omnivores.
User avatar #208 - Viggiator (04/24/2014) [+] (13 replies)
There are no essentiel vitamins in meat, that you cannot find in vegetables and the sun.
However, the BCAA proteins, are not to be found anywhere else.

Eating meat is not natural........?

The human brain developed the way it did from eating meat...

EVER SEEN A ******* LION EAT A SALAD?

Humans are Omnivores... We need both Meat and Vegetation. The human body ******* NEEDS proteins that are only found in meat...

Devoting your entire diet to only one form of life is ******* psychotic.... Plants are living breathing things just like animals are.

I understand that people don't like the way animals are treated when confined just to be killed and eaten....

That's why I eat Kosher. I still eat meat, but Kosher meats ensure the animal was not poorly treated, and lived a long and healthy life, rather than in a cage at a factory...

Vegans are just assholes who think they are better than everyone else for not eating flesh...

Do this: Go to a pig pen, filled with about 6 pigs. Just walk into the pen and sit down.
Just. ******* . Sit. There. And do nothing.
You know what will happen? Those pigs will constantly bite and bite and bite and try to ******* eat you. No matter how nice you are, and how much you pet them and love them, they will not think twice about eating your ******* face off.
That's how the Mob used to get rid of bodies... Pigs eat them, Bones, Clothes, Shoes and all.

Pigs are assholes.

actually there are a vast variety of sources of essentials that appear in plants.
omega three and six? forget fish, try hemp milk, you'd be surprised at how good it tastes.
B12? how about chocolate-flavoured soya milk and believe me, it DOES taste like chocolate, not like "chocolate-flavoured milk" which tastes like it's been watered down.
sticking to meat and dairy takes away the interest and intrigue in trying new things, not forgetting all of the down-sides of dairy and meat which have been proven to have negative long-term side effects

i've been vegan for two months and i haven't needed to take vitamins.

You don't seem to be doing this, but I wanna raise the topic anyway. People who are vegan/vegetarian tend to tell others to be vegan/vegetarian because we are not naturally meant to eat meat (which is ******** ). The thing that gets me though, is they then proceed to eat all this processed **** to get the nutrition their body needs to survive, that we certainly wouldn't have had access to a hundred years ago (hemp food products, soy products, stuff like that).

Trying to force your lifestyle on others is ****** enough, but trying to force your lifestyle on others with made up facts is even ******** . Again, I'm not saying you personally are doing that, I'm just sick of seeing people that do it.
