I'm sure by now you all know about the messages from Admin asking for donations. If you hadn't, then now you have, ****** . Apparently FJ is dying a slow death and only the users can help.

Well, HERE'S YOUR CHANCE. At no expense to you, you can donate to FJ.

Here's how: Thumb up this content and for every green thumb it receives, I'll donate $1.00. I honestly don't know how well, or how poorly, this content will do so I'm capping at $1,000.00.

When the 24 hours on this post is up, I'll post another content with some form of proof. Don't badger me on the time though because I'm working tomorrow night.

K. Admin's picking a better site to do this through. You'll have to wait until tomorrow. Sorry to disappoint.

For those who think this means I'm not delivering, **** off. Gratify makes you donate on a per week basis, individuals cannot donate more than $100 at a time, so I created several accounts and attached my credit card but I'm afraid my bank will flip out. This means if I don't deactivate all 10 accounts by next week, then they'll remove another $1,000. This is too sketch for me.

Agree about idiots feeding trolls FJ in and of itself is good, but if Admin wants my money all he has to do is get rid of the negative level nonsense. He'd probably get more sponsors to if they knew they weren't backing a site that encourages things like posts of dead troops and trolls saying they're glad their gone or whatever bs they come up with. No respectable company wants to be associated with that bs.

Since admin believes (and rightly so) in freedom of speech, it makes it difficult for companies to advertise. Would you want your company advertising on a site that occasionally has gore and porn outside **** zones." Seems to be the main argument here, the real issue is something far simpler.

The problem is our community, it's only funny if you've been here a while, or like a specific kind of humour. The humour being, attack everything apart from yourself. Countless feminists post, brony posts and some.
I'm afraid FJ is just one of many small sites that will inevitably fade away because there isn't enough money, or a large enough user base to keep it floating.

It's **** to hear but like it or not, this site is just one more clone to host other people's content. Barely any OC is created here anymore and when it is, it isn't enough to bring people to the site because sadly, unless you are part of the community it actually isn't that funny. The site keeps users because there are in jokes, that's about it. We preach about our apparent "community" but it hardly extends beyond "lol joshlol is a fagit amrite guize" or worshipping admin. There are far closer communities on sites like 4chan with generals, not all of 4chan is just /b/, /r9k/ and /pol/. Or take reddit with specific subreddits.

I've been here for a good while now, my account is 5 years old. I remember in 2010-2012 when the site was doing it's best and yet there were still pushes for donations. 3 years on, we haven't seen a growth in the user base overall and slowly people are drifting away to other sites. The picture is from google trends, showcasing the site's popularity. It's gotten to the point now where I come here out of habit, not really because I enjoy it. I thought that maybe with gamergate, we may have seen an influx of users. However, this sites reputation is being nothing more than just an image dumping site with a weird community didn't do enough to attract those moving on from 4chan and some subreddits.

FJ has had a good run but it suffered with a lack of clarity with funding, admin in the past bragging, taking money from users and a rather elitist user base for a community that is inherently toxic. It will never make me donate a single penny. I don't forget ******** on a community easily, nor can I see the user base growing or changing. If FJ is to die, then so be it, there are better places to be.

Just out of curiosity, is there any proof that this website is dieing? From a neutral standpoint looking at the history of how admin behaves, wasn't he at one point bragging about all the money he had and was a complete ass to everyone?

Only recently within the last half year has he started being this cool down to earth guy, and coincidentally at the same time is when he's started asking for donations and turning off adblock. Do you guys think admin legitimately cares about you? Not starting **** here, but from what I can see I think admin is just milking you guys to make a few more bucks.

Or has admin posted some form of proof that this website is costing more money than it makes that I am missing?

I'm just going to assume this money will go to a good place. I've accepted that the money might not go exactly where I want it to.
It's like giving to a homeless person. They could easily spend on alcohol or on food and clothing, but sometimes you take that chance.
