well the thing he's standing on is not moving under him, go to a near by wall with slippery socks on or somthing and try to walk through it, that's just about how it feels to walk on that thing
This is amazing, but I don't think VR games will become common until all that movement can take place inside your mind without actually moving. Both because people are lazy and it would take up way too much room for most people. Primarily the latter.
I'd love to have this though.
I think VR could be great for arcades or events. Take a look at this vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9ioVceVlvI Not sure if the yt button still is broken
Granted, this is relatively old technology and quite obviously sponsored, but using perhaps a smaller treadmill and VR-glasses it could be a quite fun game.
There is also potential for military use, though tbh the current system with blanks and a laser system prob works better and is more realistic. The only real advantage is prob easier level design You don't have to build a whole village or could reproduce realistic targets , and better immersion in the shape of incoming fire.
a lot of people won't have that option. a good number of people live in apartments or rent homes, so they couldn't even modify them for that if they had the money
Alright, thinking of a way to keep that from happening, maybe place virtual measures around the room so the you in the game has just as much space as you in the real world.
If you run into a wall in the game, you run into a wall for real.
Also, I would do ******* anything to have this system. I would say even prostitution, but as a male, that's both unlikely, and for quite a few, a dream job.
That's true, but if the system which actually measures where you really are in the room is a tiny bit ****** in one direction more than in any other directions, you're gonna kiss that wall pretty soon...
Mind you, I'd still play the ever loving piss out of it.
It was okay in my opinion....but god damn they did some incredible things with it. Like when Delta Squad made an appearance. Also, since Disney owns Star Wars and all, they basically confirmed that the cartoon is canon, so therefore Delta Squad was canon.
I agree. The buildup and tension in that first level is so real, even to the very end, when you're loading up for battle and all the clones are running out in the rain to their ships while you are barking orders at everyone.
