I like being asleep and dreaming because it's the only time I'm ever truly happy
I'm in perfect health, I live in another world, and everyday is an adventure

Every morning I wake up and think
"Oh"
"right"

That's why the best way of living is inducing painfully realistic, horrible nightmares every night and feeling ******* awesome when you wake up and discover you didn't lose your hands in an accident, your family wasn't muredered by a clown and the apocalypse hasn't come yet.

I have vivid nightmares every single night, to the point I came to actually dread going to sleep.

I wish I could just coma to the next morning.

I never remember my nightmares anymore. I only know I have them because I wake up instantly with too much adrenalin running through me to think clearly. It's really unpleasant spending 10 minutes trying to figure out the layout of this strange room I'm trapped in before I realize it's my apartment/bedroom.

I die a lot in my dreams and its very painful. Well they're all nightmares too. When you're someone like me you have an imaginary wall to block off emotions so you don't cry all the time, but when I have one of these nightmares it slowly deconstructs my self confidence, pride, happiness, etc. and then I wake up a crying, gibberish speaking mess.

So I wake up losing all the progress of social behavior and I end up just the same beta, introvert I was yesterday morning. My dreams go to the source's of my fears, and exploit them and amplify them so one thought causes collateral damage to my mind as a cannonball hits a wooden plank the plank splinters and hits something else crucial. I've woke up on occasions where I'm completely blind and then it will subside completely with a flash of white.

When I was like seven I had horrific and vivid nightmares about werewolves. It was so vivid that I could actually feel the pain of the wolf's bite when I woke up. I couldn't sleep at night so my parents couldn't sleep at night, and they sent me to a mental hospital. I went through all kinds of counselling and they told me that if supernatural things could happen in my dreams, then I would be allowed to have supernatural powers. Since I was so young and impressionable that sunk in and now whenever I have a nightmare I can just **** it up with a lazerball or some other power

Occasionally, I have very specific nightmares. I'm usually very small in them, and all around me are items from my life and my friends and family, all of them much larger than me, and my friends and family keep screaming at me. Thats not that scary per se, for me at least, but the thing is that during the whole thing I have some kind of anxiety attack, which would also last a bit after waking up. Don't know how else I would explain it.

At first, I was scarred ******** by it, and would just usually sit in my bed as the anxiety slowly fades. After a while, my natural stubbornness kicked in and I just take the nightmares head-on when they occur now. Its not always easy, but I take pride in the fact that I'm able to beat my fears.

To be honest I actually enjoy nightmares,
they're always so exciting, and I don't have them often but when I do I'm often half aware it's a dream
Even if I'm running for my life and trying to get away for example I always wake up and think
"ah"
"that was fun"

good luck with that man. sometimes you just have realize that there is nothing to fear but fear itself, and maybe they'll help you, in the world of dreams you are the master of your universe, you just gotta believe.

Funny, because I always have dreams of me being tortured.
#35 to #14 - suspicious (03/04/2014) [-]
Closest ive had to a torture dream was me in a dark room chained and then a masked man showed up, he took off his mask and said"I'm David Hasslehoff" then he chopped off my head with an axe and it landed in a bucket he took with a bunch of other heads to the beach to release into the sea. Not much torture past the room i was in probably being one you expect used for torture.
