It's possible the bike you were originally trying to ride wasn't the right size, which can be pretty difficult starting out with. Or it could just be the way your muscles and balance developed.
I had absolutely zero centre of balance, and couldn't ride a bike. Then my friends Dad said he'd help, and taught me in <10 minutes. Interesting turn of events I'd say.
I had a similar thing happen. I could ride a scooter with no problem, but for the life of me couldn't get on a bike. Then the little girl down the street who was 3 years younger than me got the tricycles taken off her bike and could ride fine and I knew I had to get my **** together. Rode the bike around the block that night.
tbh it's just easing into a comfortable position where you can maintain balance
I went ski-ing with my school a few years ago, and I was the worst person in the entire group despite the fact I've been skateboarding for years.
Life is an oddity, that's for sure.
My childhood was a little unorthodox. I didn't learn how to ride a bike. At 9 years old I learned how to ride a chopper. That counts, right? My dumbass still can't ride a bicycle for the life of me
I once forgot how to swim...Which was really bad because I had jumpeed into the deep end of the pool. Had no idea what to do with myself so I just started flayling around. I survived
Hey, I don't mean to brag, but I am sort of an expert in forgetting things. I was top of my class in amnesia school, and have over 300 confirmed lost memories.
