The axe could be spinning so fast that it matches the camera's shutter speed creating the illusion that the axe is not spinning at all.

last time this was reposted, i got into this whole argument about how its completely possible for the axe to fly straight like that provided it was thrown hard enough and the spin be countered before release. Got like 50 red thumbs for it.
