Yeah, except:
>Can't Marry boyfriend because gay
>Can't donate blood because gay
>Might get treated like I have mental illness because gay
>Might get disowned because gay
They ******* did the last one to a family member of mine. His name is Chapman now, instead of Tatman. And that was just because he drank too much.

I would probably get held down by Catholics as they tried to beat the devil out of me.. And THEN get disowned.
Granted those last two are more people problems than anything, there are still assorted gay issues to be worked through. Gays used to have a knife in their leg while they were standing out in the rain. Now they're really just standing in a light drizzle, and their leg's been patched up.

Now, gays that use being gay as an excuse to get out of **** that they probably got themselves into in the first place? They can ******* die. All they're doing is making the rest of us look bad, and ******** on the society that is mostly trying to help them.

I was at a church rally where the bishop of my diocese came to answer questions- the topic eventually turned to gays and when he polled the audience and asked if gays could be considered full members of the church, about 20 hands out of 300 went up... It was a bit concerning.

It a problem with your area. Best bet it is to save money and move somewhere that treat homosexuals with respect.

The blood one is kinda related to the whole, half of hem having aids thing, and it being left over policy from the 80's. Also us Catholics don't hate you, just don't want you defiling religious institutions, IDK like those churches being forced to hold gay "wedding" ceremonies in California.
User avatar #75 to #29 - blesstheinternet (07/05/2014) [-]
so they can have a ceremony on a hilltop, who cares?

the only marriage part that's the real issue is the legal documentation saying that two people are married. if they wanted to do a ceremony with each other, they can just do it at the field of their uncle's cottage, or something. but they want to be allowed to legally marry, and states are preventing that.

Good to know what I should stay away from if I ever want to get married. I won't get married in a church.. Provided I get married.

But yeah, the blood thing is mostly leftover elderly from the 80's. It's much less young people than you would think, and considering that literally everyone's blood that donates is tested before use, really makes having it nearly a moot point. Most public gay places do an excellent job of protecting themselves from it now.

[Citation needed.] 18%, according to the CDC. But yeah, it's still pretty high. I personally don't care, I don't intent to donate. But why not just require a test? They take all of twenty minutes.

Sorry meant half of the people with aids are gay men, which is wrong also, it's 56% of aids victims are gay or bisexual men. But it is left over from the 80's when they were still learning about how it was transferred, now they just test everyone's blood irregardless.
