He pulls the hammer back manually.
The slide will pull the hammer into place whenever it moves back so the only way to have the hammer resting against the pin like that is when the trigger is pulled but the slide doesn't move back for one reason or another. A round couldn't have cycled.
you do know you can manually reset the hammer with a round in the chamber by pulling the trigger and having your thumb on the hammer slowly putting it back in place.

M1911s are Single action only meaning that with the hammer down you are not able to shoot. So people carrying it loaded may do that. But still, if you manage to disengage the safety, push the palm safety and shoot yourself with a cocked and loaded M1911 by accident you probably don't deserve firearms in the first place. In this instance though you can be correct seeing he probably doesn't wanna shoot his pet Jew.
That's simply not true. You can decock a hammer-fired semi-automatic pistol with ease and still have a round in the chamber - the hammer being up is not necessarily a good indicator as to whether or not the gun is loaded. Always check the chamber, it's the only way you'll know for SURE.
u know u can DE-COCK the hammer right? that's the preferred method of carrying single action hammer fire pistols. god damn, you are stupid, as is everybody who thumbed you up.
