Touma can be a bit of a dense ************ sometimes, but I guess that's just par for the course if you're the main character. If Misaka zaps him, he probably deserves it.
He makes up for it by not discriminating with his punches.
I'm still waiting for something anime-related to happen in the Raildex universe.
A 3rd season of Index or Railgun, an adaptation of the Accelerator manga, or even just confirmation that SOMETHING is happening.
It's looking more and more like the anime's been abandoned.
Yeah, and unlike pretty much every other character capable of anger on the show, Misaka has never lashed out at him for anything accidental, almost exclusively doing it when Touma is doing something stupid or insulting.
And there's no way J.C.Staff have abandoned Index. Just under a year ago they released a special celebrating Kazuma Kamachi's (Index' author) 10th year as a professional writer. And next season they're serializing Heavy Object, another one of his works. So they seem intent on cooperating with Kamachi and milking him for what he's worth.
BTW: If you aren't already, you should totally read the LNs. J.C.Staff have done an epic job adapting them, so there's very little disparity taking them up where the anime ends, and there's twice as much material ahead of you as there is behind you, with **** just getting more epic as it goes on.
I recently started watching index and railgun. While it's not exactly 10/10 anime the universe is pretty interesting and I'm only half into index so far. I've sorta skimmed the first chapter in the novel and seems easy enough to read. Ive never read a LN too lazy but I'm actually looking forward to this one after I've finished the anime.
Railgun S and the movie aired alongside Attack on Titan in 2013.
It's almost 2 and a half years since anything big happened anime-wise with Index. It was close to 2 years between Index 2 and Railgun S, so there's that, but if they wait any longer it won't be smart marketing.
<The most we got was this cock tease of an April fools joke.
I very rarely read manga, let alone the original material for anime I've watched. I only really read it when the anime ends and the original material is still ongoing.
Like with HOTD, I only read the manga because there was 0% chance of a season 2, but the manga carried on further than the anime.
So if I ever start reading Index and Railgun, it won't be a good thing. I'll probably start reading it after Christmas, if nothing's been announced before then.
Also, note that the anime has only covered 13 out of the 22 volumes of the Toaru Majutsu no Index LNs, after which there are also 13 volumes of Toaru Majutsu no Index: New Testament to cover.
Even assuming they were to adapt it continuously from next season and onwards, it would take them at least 3 years to cover the existing material, in which time at the current pace, Kamachi would write enough material for half a year more.
If you want any hope of catching up within the next couple of decades, reading the LNs is the only option.
That video was definitely interesting... I guess that and this year's Index April fools video show that Index is still relevant.
When is the 10th anniversary?
The problem I have with reading the LNs is just me being stubborn. Here's my thought process:
I don't want to read them because if I do and more gets adapted, then I'll be spoiled because I'll know what happens. I'm also being a huge hypocrite here, and I know it, because I'm reading the Prison School and monster Musume mangas, and have no problems with watching the anime adaptations of them.
As I said, I only really want to start reading Index LNs if I'm sure the anime's done.
I've never even read any light novels, only manga, so I don't even know what the difference between the two is.
Where a manga is a comic, a light novel is a book. An LN is a serialization consisting of short novels, about 200 pages per volume. They're mostly text with few pictures.
And even when you know what's coming, it doesn't detract from the experience here. First thing I noticed when I started reading it was that the characters had exactly the same impression as they did in the anime, that J.C.Staff had done such an A+ job of casting that I could still hear the voices in my head while reading and have been looking forward to hearing the VAs speak the lines since.
I started with Toaru Majutsu no Index 14, as the anime ended at 13 (Academy City Invasion arc) and SS 1 (Skill-Out).
And yeah, release order is optimal, it'd be kind of hard to do anything else. It's just Index 1-22, followed by New Testament 1-13, with a few short stories dotted around but mostly disconnected from the main story.
It's probably easier if you just open one of the PDFs straight from the website and read that while you download each of the folders separately in the background,
Nah, it just intimidated me at first, the way it said "unknown download time" while the size went up steadily.
It was only 353MB compressed, and 372MB now I've extracted it.
Vol 13 was the whole ordeal with Vento of the Front, Kihara Amata and the artificial angel.
Following that was SS1 with Accelerator starting work for GROUP and Misaka Misuzu being held hostage by Skill-Out.
The first volume that hasn't been adapted is Vol 14.
You forgot this. Kazuma Kamachi's 10th anniversary promotional. Note that apart from his other works', there are also a few characters in here from parts of the Index LNs that have yet to be adapted.
The reason for hype would be because it makes you think how awesome Index III will be and makes you imagine what those scenes would look like animated by numerous professionals in a real work environment. Could you imagine it with Railgun S' animation. Though I highly doubt Index III will have the 1 million yen per episode budget that Railgun S had, I can still frickin' dream!! (Until then I humbly go back to reading NT13)
>Not liking Misaka as a character
Clearly no one else agrees with you. Picture is a a summary of the yearly Best Female Character winner. (Misaka got 2nd in the 2015 one)
Incidentally, Touma's been in the top 3 eight years in a row, with one 1st place, four 2nd places and three 3rd places.
Accelerator's been in the top 4 five years in a row.
Also, in 2015, Index got 4 females and 2 males in their respective top 10's.
They should make a show called waifu wars. Custom anime guns and a **** ton of weaboos fighting to the death to get a life sized model of their waifu. It's gonna be like survivor but for people with autism.
I really want to cringe at him, I really do. But he's doing what he loves and he's putting a whole lot of talent at it, so I'm really impressed and commend him. Faggot better not be using someone else's money
Well, that's a bit different... Isn't that a WWII collectible? (or ww1, I forget, don't know **** about guns)
Either way, that's much, much different.
That's just downright disrespectful there.
Yes this is re-worked "Kar98" which was made in the year 1898. But it was a bit too long(it was intended as a hunting rifle/longer distance shooting). But the Germans needed a rifle for city fighting and blitzkreig. So they re-worked the old one and made it shorter, so the K in "Kar98K" stands for Kurtz, which means Short.
And I was on /k/ for many years, and trust me. Those guys dont **** with camo like that, old or new gun.
Not entirely correct. The Kar98 is a further develpment of the G98 which was the standard rifle for german troops uring ww1. The Kar98 (karabin98) was made so it was easier to carry (karabin is a rifle with its hanging on the side in german, not like the english word for carabine, which is as far as i know a short rifle). The kar98 was then adopted in the 30ies in the german wehrmacht as the standard rifle, although it existed already before, but wasnt given to all troops.
Thanks, good to know.. Was thinking about getting one.. I already got a original Soviet Naggant for 90€.
But holly **** you wont get an original Kar under 600€
But I might get my uncles musem stuff one day anyway..
I too was thinking about buying a rifle some day (favorite would probably be something from the Waffenschmiede Suhl, but thats reaaaalyy expensive), but as long i am a student its not possible.
The cheapest way for me to get hold to a rifle would be to join the Hjemmværn (a form of national guard in denmark)
Yea, too bad... I will be moving to Germany too, so I might have to leave my guns behind anyway, because I have only a licence as an museum artifact holder, but they are still active..
Probably would need a german citizentship. And probably they have allot of stupid rules as having it a specific room locket, if its a magazine or clip, having it in a separated room, etc..
Thats just normal sense to keep the ammunition and the gun separate places. That with citizenship may be, but just ask. There are probably someone else on the internet with the same problem. Or just ask /k/
No but, I think in Netherlands its stupid as, having the magazine in a separated room as the gun but you can have the ammo beside the gun or something like that.. but yea, once i will move everything i will ask for that too..
yeah but that's an old artifact of a weapon, it's of actual historical value.
the one in the content is just a gun in current production, it doesn't hurt to do whatever you want with it.
So same goes for the whole box and pistol inside, with all the LED around and around?
- Anyway what I wanted to say is that OP ****** up because its not someone from /k/ for sure, plus I am pretty sure thats an airsoft gun. Go and post something on /k/ airsoft related, enjoy the sage..
In the same thread all his information was posted (phone number, building address, facebook profile,.....). Few days later some guys posted that they confronted him and teached him a leasson(but without any proof)..
That was a reproduction mauser, and the owner simply wanted to sand and refinish the stock. He painted it blue so he could know if he was sanding evenly, and put that sticker on for lulz. /k/ got over it pretty quickly when they found out. The guy that claimed to have 'taught him a lesson' was attention whoring and lying, as there were later pictures released of the owner sanding off the blue paint.
(There was another one that had an MLP logo painted on it, but /k/ simply bought it off of him and restored it)
Waifu pelican case, airsoft shooting competition, lights inside the case, waifu themed airsoft guns. This isn't /k/ goes to Japan, this is /k/ has a nightmare
