3 isn't quite correct, the SS Californian was thought to be around 8 miles away from the Titanic as she was going down, there was crew on the Californian and they did see the rockets fired by Titanic but assumed them to be celebrations on her maiden voyage, the radio officer was asleep as there was no requirement for 24 hour radio cover.
As a result of the disaster, amongst many other laws brought in, it became law for 24 hour monitoring of radio traffic and the laws on firing rockets at sea were clarified.

the first one is not quite right
animals that are unforunate enough to die near the lake do get pertrified due to high pH (10,5-...)
but not all creatures get hurt by it actually Lake Natron's alkaline waters support a thriving ecosystem of salt marshes, freshwater wetlands, flamingos and other wetland birds
but i guess that was close enough

"I took these creatures as I found them on the shoreline, and then placed them in 'living' positions, bringing them back to 'life,' as it were," Brandt wrote, referring to the way he re-positioned the animals. "Reanimated, alive again in death."
The photographer of the first picture.
