No, lots of people say " ******* A!"
What they don't do is write it all in caps, don't use punctuation (common coma needs love too) and glue a LOL at the end.
Next time try writing actual " ******* A!" and see the difference.

User avatar #359 to #346 - angelusprimus (11/19/2015) [-]
While it was written all in caps it didn't do few other things.
1: It didn't completely forgo punctuation. If anything it was way over enthusiastic with exclamation marks.
2: It didn't use any of the OMG, LOL, WTF crap.

So, basically, there are three no-noes. No punctuation, all caps, texting abbreviations.
Using of one of those per post is generally overlooked. Using two will probably get you a few red thumbs, using all three will be downvoted to oblivion unless some really special circumstances apply.

This is like the end of the world predictions. Every now and then, someone comes along and says 'I have this secret scientific break through' and they get a little press, then they fail to deliver, then everyone forgets.

Meh.

If he had something worth talking about, he'd show it. Talking about what he's going to talk about is a stupid waste of time.

your profile said 20, female, G-ville, and "Gainsville" is the first place I thought of that could be that. You a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd? They were from near Gainsville, I think. I'm the same. Flaccid is like mini mini or even goes into me when it's cold, but erect it's normal. Many other people have like a 4.5" dick flaccid and then it only grows up to 5 1/2" when erect. I'm guessing if we solve for Tau I think that's lower-case Tau, but not sure we'll get dickbutt(tm) or something. See all the imaginary numbers? That means we're going to have real and imaginary parts. And because Tau is often exponential, I imagine the real and imaginary parts describe planes, so we might be in 3-space. And due to the complexity, I believe it to be non-continuous in places. Exciting.

Maybe later I'll transcribe this bitch and run it through some software to see what we get.

all right. I used "x" instead of Tau or whatever that was, and we got this:

(0 - 30.1996i) * x^6 + (0 + 9.81486i) * x^5 * sqrt(x^2 - (0 + 640.701i)) + (0 + 20.3847i) * x^5 * sqrt(x^2 - (0 + 1127.53i)) + (0 + 20.3487i) * x^4 * (x^2 - (0 + 640.701i)) * (x^2 - (0 + 1127.531)) - (0 + 20.3847i) * x^3 * (x^2 - (0 + 640.701i)) * sqrt(x^2 - (0 + 1127.53i)) + 408.549 * ((0 - 0.630868i) * x^3 - (0 + 14.0909i) * x^2 * sqrt(x^2 - (0 - 640.701i)) - (0 + 6.45738i) * x^2 * sqrt(x^2 - (0+ 1127.53i)) (0 + 1.21667i) * x * (x^2 - (0 + 640.701i)) + (0+ 0.585806i) * x * (x^2 - (0 + 1127.53i)) + (0 + 7.08825i) * sqrt(x^2 - (0 +640.701i)) * (x^2 - (0 + 1127.53i)) + (0 + 14.7217i) * (x^2 - (0 + 640.701i)) * sqrt(x^2 - (1127.53i))) = 0

"sqrt" is "square root" (so, ^0.5), and "i" is the square root of -1, or sqrt(-1).

Now there's something fishy about all the vectorish-looking paranthetical expressions. They always do something like (0. +1234.56i). I'm wondering if this is simply a vector notation, saying something like (real. imaginary). So every vector here has no real part, just imaginary. Of course they are just constants that make the plot move around when we graph it. I'll go ahead and start plugging into Wolfram or something to see what I get. But it's been like 10 years since I graduated engineering school and I've been doing programming ever since, so my math is out of practices. So feel free to try your hand as well, anyone reading this.

It could be just poor phrasing. Remember that we have unlimited unlimited =/= infinite amounts of energy surrounding us. We need just to tap into it.

Imagine a ball. This ball can be charged. It uses this power to fly around and absorb energy from it's surroundings (e.g sunlight, wind). It sends most of it back, but uses some to keep on going. I think it has to do with a magnetic wheel, with some smaller magnets on the side. You're inputting a small amount of electricity to spin the smaller magnets at a particular speed, so that the similar poles are causing the main magnet to spin incredibly fast.

Since it mainly relies on residual magnetic energy, you don't have to input very much electricity.
User avatar #145 to #126 - ikweetnietmeer (11/15/2015) [-]
Then the magnets have to be electrical magnets or moving normal magnets.

The idea is not that these machines are 'Making' Energy from nothing - that's something I stumbled over a bunch of times in my first investigations into this.

The idea is that these machines essentially tap into the radio-background of the universe.... which, it turns out (or, "is claimed that") contains unimaginable amounts of energy, traveling in behaviors (longitudinal vs. scalar, "multi-dimensionally") and at frequencies / wavelengths that make them undetectable in everyday life... at least with our eyes and ears, and simple, "small" reactions that we see every day. The orbit of planets... might be a different story - it may be magnetic, not based on 'gravity' at all.

It's no different than putting a wind turbine in a breeze... the only different here is your "turbine" is basically a weird radio-receiver-like device, and your "breeze" are absurdly high-voltage quantum particles, zipping through every point in space all around us / through us at every instant.

I said "JUST PLAYING with ideas... not saying they're true just yet."

What else do you need to hear?

You cannot explain to me the origins of the model used to explain mainstream physics.... the researchers who made each of the experiments on the evidence 'tree' that supports EACH piece of the model - EACH 'particle', and EACH aspect of its behavior.

I had hopes for mainstream physics too, but very quickly, all 'lectures' and course materials start devolving into hand-waving ******** . There's a lot of recitation, but no from-the-first-experiments-forward explanations of A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

I like reconstructing things from First-Principles. Takes longer, lots of frustration from mainstreamers in the meantime (as they claim they're "Got it All Figured Out", but I've always found rewards at the end.

No, I'm not butthurt, you didn't mess with my reality and I most certainly don't have it all figured out.

"no from-the-first-experiments-forward explanations of A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G. "
What exactly do you mean here? English isn't my first language and that doesn't help.

"as they claim they're "Got it All Figured Out" physicists don't claim to have it all figured out, but we do have a lot of things figured out. For example if you say that you have a generator with over 100% efficiency, then you better have some damn good evidence to support your violation of the laws of thermodynamics.

Finally I didn't say I was at university to impress you, I said that to give you context of my own knowledge on the subject.

It is impossible, you can't get something from nothing. It's a scam, it's always a scam.
Tesla was brilliant but no amount of brilliance can break the laws of thermodynamics.
#249 to #25 - anon (11/15/2015) [-]
Well, TECHNICALLY you could prove the laws of thermodynamics false. Doubt that it would ever happen, but hey, at one point we thought Newton had discovered everything there is to know about physics. Hell, even Einstein didn't explore the entirety of physics. We could discover, say, absurdly small or absurdly large systems which ignore thermodynamics (which would be consistent with many other historic findings - that is, we discover a rule which works for things human-sized, but then learn they don't quite work when you get too large or too small), which could potentially (read: really impractically) lead to perpetual energy.

The other alternative is to be able to travel to alternate universes (should they exist), and bring in matter from there. We could bring in, say, plutonium or uranium of the desired isotope and dump all of our nuclear waste, leading to perpetual (so long as there are infinite alternate universes) nuclear energy.

Both of these are impractical, nearly impossible, etc. But to say that "no amount of brilliance can break the laws of thermodynamics." isn't necessarily correct. They are observation-based laws, created under the same circumstances which created many laws which have today been proven to be either false (but close to the truth) or conditionally true. It's entirely possible that the laws of thermodynamics are just a really, really, really good estimation.
User avatar #83 to #25 - haroldsaxon ONLINE (11/15/2015) [-]
-ish. I believe it's often a matter of poor wording. You can use energy to get more energy, but you can't duplicate energy, as far as I'm concerned. There are a lot of probable energy sources we haven't tapped into yet, or have even really considered, I bet. Imagine how many unknown sources there were back in Tesla's age. If he found a way to absorb power a lot easier, that could easily be worded as "magnifying power", though maybe not accurate.

Also this

Source -> Power means Source > Power. If you could make Source = Power, wouldn't you magnify power?
#56 to #25 - Corndoggeh (11/15/2015) [-]
Well if were going based on the literal use of "power" (Kw/h), then magnifying the power output by 5,000% would essentially mean that current energy plants would only be producing .02% of the energy stored in whatever material is put in. But as I've stated, this is dealing with purely ideal assumptions all over the system to produce a 100% energy input-output system.

On the other hand, if were not talking about literal power and "power" was being misused in the picture above. I would assume that the "power" may more likely be voltage or the "ability to do work". In that case it is possible to increase voltage, probably not by 5,000%, but we already achieve that through transformers. Maybe this design is a more efficient transformer? Or maybe something that can increase current?
User avatar #71 to #56 - Lambda (11/15/2015) [-]
Kw/h isn't a unit of power. I don't know what that would be a unit of, exactly. Rate of change in power, maybe? Kw-h is the unit of power, since watts is joules per second the times cancel out and you just get energy, 3.6 megajoules per kilowatt-hour.
Anyway, I've seen this use of "magnifying power" before. They generally have a machine that you put energy into, and the energy output from the machine is somehow 50 times higher. The extra energy doesn't come from anywhere.
teslashiddendiscoveries.com/
look, here's the guy's website. He's just trying to sell those DVDs. If he knew anything at all about Tesla, and what he was saying was true, he would make his findings public for all.
#75 to #71 - docbraun (11/15/2015) [-]
Goddammit, get ur **** straight. U said Kw-h was a unit of power, then u used math to realize it's actually a unit of energy/work. Watt is a unit of power already. If u increase power by 5000%, u're just increasing the rate of energy transfer 50 times, which is just what a transformer does. There's nothing surprising about it except maybe the number.
User avatar #80 to #75 - Lambda (11/15/2015) [-]
Oh, I meant to say Kw-h was a unit of energy.
You're not just increasing the rate of energy transfer, because the extra energy has to come from somewhere.
Increasing the rate of energy transfer isn't what a transformer does. A transformer changes voltage and current, but each will increase/decrease in balance so the power is always the same. If you use a transformer to increase the voltage 50 times, the current will be 1/50, and since the power is voltage times current, it will stay the same.

I did some research on this Jim Murray.
His site is connected, eventually, to clickbank.com , a corporation that seems to make its money by selling people mediocre stuff that they don't need.
People sign up to become "associates", basically to shill these products everywhere. You ever wonder who gets paid to make those comments on youtube and even here? People who sign up for this **** .
This Jim Murray site is one of many similar sites, operated by associates of a company that specializes in selling the writings and lectures of people who claim to have some scientific secrets. I think a lot of these are written and operated by the same person. advancedmotorsecrets.com is almost identical to that Jim Murray one.
These "associates" pitch these various sites and get paid a commission if somebody actually buys the thing.

"and since the power is voltage times current, it will stay the same. "
Watts = Amps * volts
KW/h = Watts * kilo (1000) per hour.... so yes kw/h is power.
#87 to #80 - docbraun (11/15/2015) [-]
WOW, I should not write about science when I'm sleepy. I was confusing current (charge per unit time) with power (energy per unit time). You are correct indeed about transformers. Also, I never believed there was anything relevant in the actual post; nothing in it sounds actually groundbreaking.

If u want to increase electrical power, what u need is an amplifier, which is also common (and I bet 50x is common in that case), but it isn't typically used for power transmission.

User avatar #96 to #90 - haroldsaxon ONLINE (11/15/2015) [-]
You have high efficiency solar panels, and more common low efficiency ones. Unfortunately because of the low efficiency ones, there's less research in the high efficiency ones. If you cover a smaller part of the Sahara, you get more power than the entire world uses I know about problems and yada yada, that's not the point . You can power a lot on solar alone. My family has a cabin way up in the mountains. It's powered by solar alone (only lights and TV, and whatever is getting charged). Been so for as long as I remember. No idea for how long. That's "free energy" for 15+ years. 0 bills.

You can get free soda if you bring a cup. "But I only have small cups".

I know solar isn't a solution in itself. However, I dislike how people are taught to hate it. In my opinion, what resources you use is entirely dependent on your location. I get most of my power from water, for instance. I would not recommend that to be your main source in Egypt.

The pros of solar is that it can be used most places, is currently being worked on (though not enough), and lasts forever*. Besides we have the new and improved Jesus Christ, Elon Musk, working on it.

I agree a bit. I would never agree "nuclear power is the future", simply because I want to optimize all* most options. Besides, I think people fanboying nuclear as the only thing we need is very narrow-minded. Think of space stations, for instance.

We need to use all renewable sources when viable. The reason why I focus on solar is because I believe we need much more research and funding here (as well as nuclear, for the record). In reality we should look at what's around us. Norway gets 98% of it's power from water. Sweden uses the ground, and Denmark uses wind. There is no one solution we should put all our eggs in.

your opinions are in the right place bud. I like to bring up nuclear because people tend to write it off because it's between caught between renewable and nonrenewable, and also the media likes to lead people to believe it's crazy dangerous. IMHO we have to kick fossil fuels out as quick as possible and the best way is to use all available resources we can

I'm with you there. Been a couple of years since I did my research on this, but I'm wishing for Thorium. I guess we will see. Thorium and affordable, high efficiency solar panels would be swell.
#196 to #104 - jacg (11/15/2015) [-]
India's pouring some research into thorium, last I heard in b4 designated

There's also a new design for a fusion reactor that uses some really nice superconductors to boost efficiency to the point that it actually produces more energy than it takes to maintain fusion. Exciting times!
User avatar #252 to #196 - angelusprimus (11/15/2015) [-]
If HT3R project in Texas is successful we will have a ceramic-thorium beads test reactor by the end of next year.
Then its a matter of scaling it up.
Thorium is really exciting, if we manage to do it it will be a huge boost because that technology could be given to Iran, India and China, since you can't use Thorium to make bombs. If they need less coal that would reduce pollution massively.

He literally wanted to transmit electricity with sort of radio towers for free to the world, that was his dream, and the actual technology works. Also, there was a man who claimed he built a working water engine. He even had a deal with the department of defense to build big generators. But you know what? Just before the deal went through he died of food poisoning.

Nobody ever talks about it.
#323 to #210 - draaaaiven (11/15/2015) [-]
"With sort of radio towers for free"

If you disregard massive losses due to the way too high resistance of air then yes, it was free.
User avatar #256 to #210 - angelusprimus (11/15/2015) [-]
Water engine one is very popular but its a known falsehood.
Anyone with a background in physics can tell you that there just isn't enough potential energy in water to power anything.
User avatar #292 to #256 - infinitereaper (11/15/2015) [-]
Hydrogen fuel cells? kinda like solar power, if you can figure out how to make something 100% efficient a lot of things become viable. Solar power would obsolete even nuclear power in terms of efficiency and cost at 99% power efficiency.

I recall an engineer who invented a way to split water and burn the hydrogen to create a welding flame save to touch but hot enough to burn metal.

Oil companies just buy all these technologies and bury them.

well at least someone's made progress on the "wireless power transfer" idea
i'm talkin about those battery chargers that dont need any wires connected.

its just a matter of time before someone starts swinging some vibrations back and forth again to the point where all the trees in a 2mile radius circle in a secluded forrest dissappears overnight.

Magnifying power as in the power of an electromagnet which is the basis behind a tesla coil and the wireless transfer of electricity

What its saying is he discovered how to wirelessly transfer electricity 5,000 times faster
User avatar #336 to #137 - lapsushominum (11/15/2015) [-]
So really he claims to have increased the efficiency of said system. Sorry, to be fair the content uses the word "power" very vaguely and when it comes to Tesla there's tons of "free" energy talk thrown around
User avatar #348 to #336 - whitie (11/16/2015) [-]
free power typically refers to a reform of the energy industry where all electricity would be paid for by tax money and distributed via tesla coil networks, providing the ultimate convenience for civilians and cheaper power by streamlining power production into singular massive & effecient power plants

Basically free in the same sense that water is considered free

I mean, they're talking about putting some energy in and much more than that amount comes out. Sounds akin to perpetual motion, to me.

All I know is Tesla made expensive ass lightbulbs, couldn't actually afford to produce them, while having these moral qualms that prevented him from making any profit.

Then Edison came in, made cheaper and longer lasting lightbulbs, and sold them to the world.
#363 to #320 - anon (11/30/2015) [-]
and also ****** tesla over and stabbed him in the back. Edison was a business man and an inventor, not necessarily a good person. Of course, history likes to glaze over the fact that edison was a massive cunt.
