However, that is in a relatively wealthy county in America. I do not know what they would do where this video was shot.

its in Israel they are probably used to things like this actually being bombs. if its on a timer any wasted time could cause in explosion. if they use the tech that i have seen before its an air cannon or water cannon they shoot at the bomb so it can tear it apart without blowing it up.

2. They divert police resources as they could've been dealing with actual crime instead

There are times for jokes but wasting the time for a bomb squad means they could be somewhere else making sure a real bomb doesnt go off. While I dont mind pranks, I think pranking emergency services is a really assholish thing to do.

For example c4 is one of the most stable compounds requiring both heat and pressure for it to detonate. They do however use a robot just in case it does blowup.

This one video has shown me how utterly ignorant posters are about Israel, terrorism, terrorists, et al. It's ******* pathetic so very few of you know how people around the world and especially in Israel live with multiple threats to their lives, livelihoods, peace and welfare EVERY DAY over 'just a backpack'. And how lacking you are in understanding the lengths to which the armed forces try not to have incidents violate the lives of the people as well as the courage it takes by the public just to carry on day to day in spite of ******** like this (and actual bombs). I spent a year in Israel. They take unattended bags extremely seriously. They are surrounded on all sides by a bunch of butthurt Arab nations that would like nothing better than to, in their own words, '"drive every last Jew into the ocean." Many of these people have tried and succeeded to plant bomb in public places with the express purpose of killing as many people as possible. They don't care if their victims are Jews, Arabs or even third parties completely uninvolved in the whole Judaeo-Palestinian conflict. All they care about is maximizing their body count. Often the bomber will stick around after the explosion posing as one of the victims so they can kill any rescue workers responding to the call. This is not funny. They are literally making lite of the mass murder of innocents and civilians.
