Now that there is a Simonov PTRS anti-tank rifle (USSR). A semi-automatic, gas operated,14.5x114 Caliber Pussy pleaser that is designed to pierce from 35-40 mm of armor (that's 1.37-1.57 inches you Imperial Plebs). That gun is 20,9 kg (44 lbs) unloaded so its a bitch just to shoulder.

Now I imagine you people played some WW II shooters with Anti Tank rifles so you probably can imagine the ******* recoil.

Bottom Line. This ******* jacked

Gepard GM6 Lynx. First time I've seen a .50 BMG fired while on the move.

Why the **** would a sniper ever be in a CQB situation
User avatar #61 to #58 - Einsty (04/11/2015) [-]
You see ivan, when you take sniper rifle into a knife fight, you are always of victorious, because the boolets become throwing knives.

One word: Bloodsuckers.

Those assholes are the primary reason I got a ******* Protecta shotgun first thing from Nimble, before I even did a single quest by just following people around and selling their guns after they died.

You know how .50 cal is a big ass round? yeah this one shoots bigger. .50 cal is the 12.7mm round on the far right, this rifle shoots the one next to it, the 14.5mm
User avatar #40 to #30 - DoktorHax (04/11/2015) [-]
How ******* fast does that 7.92 round travel? And how the **** doesnt it just melt after leaving the barrel?
User avatar #41 to #40 - DoktorHax (04/11/2015) [-]
Specifically the 7.92x94
#44 to #41 - panzerfront (04/11/2015) [-]
Thats the ammunition for a German anti tank machine gun, I think its in WOT on the PZ-1C
But it would have extreme velocity and I think it would pen between 20-30mm of steel armor.
User avatar #45 to #44 - DoktorHax (04/11/2015) [-]
Huh. Didnt think theyd use such a small calibre for anti armour stuff. The more you know and all that.
#47 to #45 - panzerfront (04/11/2015) [-]
Oh yeah the German Anti tank rifle was 7.92mm (pre WW2 vintage not the big 13.2 ww1 one) Due to them favoring velocity over size, which is why the brits and russians created far larger rifles in the form of the 13.2mm Boys and the 14.5mm PTRD and PTRS. The ammunition for the 14.5 is still used in Russian ZPUs and KPVs.
User avatar #49 to #47 - DoktorHax (04/11/2015) [-]
I suppose that explains that fairly small ultra high intensity cannon they liked. I think it was the 80mm?
#104 to #49 - panzerfront (04/11/2015) [-]
Yes the various high velocity german cannons ala L70 75mm the 88L56 the 88L71 and the L100 programs.
#70 to #49 - anon (04/11/2015) [-]
88 mm.

User avatar #22 - foelkera (04/11/2015) [-]
You see Ivan, when fire PTRS like Kalashnikov, rifle is become of less unforgiving to shoulder because cartridge is of become confuse, so 14.5x114 is of making self into 7.62x39.
