if he has another creature out he can sacrifice that one instead.

most competitive decks that focus on getting out Emrakul/progenitus will rarely have any other creatures in their deck, let alone on the field. Case in point.
User avatar #142 to #141 - clavatninenine (07/21/2014) [-]
Not true, I've seen plenty of green decks that use elves and mana-ramp to get emrakul out fast, then use board-wide buffs to feed off emrakul to buff the rest of their creatures. The only people i've ever seen dedicate their entire game to just emrakul or progenitus are idiots. Plus, unless they re-released them for M15 they aren't even standard anymore.
#144 to #142 - schmuxy (07/21/2014) [-]
dude, standard isn't the only format. #1 legacy combo deck on the professional circuit is sneak show (only creatures are usually 4x Emrakul and 4x Griselbrand).
User avatar #146 to #144 - clavatninenine (07/21/2014) [-]
i know, but standard is the only one i've ever cared about so i don't pay attention nor care about what others are doing. Plus whenever i discuss stuff people are always assuming we're discussing standard.

For those who don't know, the first on is The Shatterer from Guild Wars 2.

He's one of the very first world bosses you fight. When he dies he flies up into the air and explodes. Then a chest magically spawns and you get sub-par loot from it.

Infestors are just the best. I've always loved the concept in videogames of using the enemy's firepower against them. I appreciated how they got upgraded in HoTS.
User avatar #254 to #62 - matexius (07/21/2014) [-]
Wait...Infestors got an upgrade in HotS?
I just have Wings of Liberty... So I wouldn't know...
Planning to get HotS however...when I become better than ~50 APM...
User avatar #274 to #254 - yindragon (07/21/2014) [-]
It's been a while since I played the HoTS campaign, but I seem to remember them getting a boost to the effectiveness of their abilities. I know for certain that their mind-control ability no longer requires them to be near the target constantly because they just launch some neural parasite at the enemy unit instead of latching onto it with their tendril.
#275 to #274 - matexius (07/21/2014) [-]
I'm seriously considering becoming REALLY good at SC2... if it doesn't die off first... and head into the Steel Series tournament. I don't plan on winning, just getting far enough to make a bit of money of off it.
I wanna prove to my dad that you can actually make money by playing games, albeit it could take a bit longer... Starting August, I'm gonna go into PvP. Now, I'm not that good yet... since I forget to Inject, all the time...

Also, take this... in case you don't already have it...
User avatar #276 to #275 - yindragon (07/21/2014) [-]
Dream big man. The series is pretty popular, so it probably isn't going to fade out anytime soon. I would also highly recommend HotS. It's campaign is huge fun, and ultra-replayable. And thanks for the wallpaper.

There's a player from my country, Starbuck... that was one of the top Zerg players in Europe... Went against Bomber and actually held his ground...for a while marines and Koreans OP . And he's frikkin' 17 man...
Do you still play actually? Judging from your previous comments, you play/ed Zerg, I'm guessing...
Anytime... got a small bunch of them...
User avatar #279 to #278 - yindragon (07/21/2014) [-]
I play from time to time. I prefer the Zerg, but all three races have their advantages.
Also, I think being Korean is a physical requirement for being good at SC.
User avatar #280 to #279 - matexius (07/21/2014) [-]
Yeah...they do...
I tried going some other race, than Zerg, just to try them out... the Protoss were stronk, just way to slow (both to move and to create) for my tastes... I tried going with the Terrans, but just couldn't get a good grip on them.
However, I'm not complaining, the Zerg are well suited for me; fast and numerous... just wish they'd be a small tad more durable... though I think what's deliberate...
Well, I say nay at that standard.
Though the facts that Koreans play for 10 hours a day, have an entire TV channel dedicated to SC and fangirls...well...

I really liked this one. I can imagine it as a boss where he has a bunch of weakspots around his body, and you have to jump and grapple n **** between the islands to reach them. And each island is like a little one-room dungeon with minibosses in them.

For those who are too lazy to scroll back up, these are the two depicting Faenor (the elf who created the Silmarilli) and Morgoth, the evil Valar and, yes, Sauron's boss . 37-year-old-plot-spoiler: Morgoth kills Faenor .
User avatar #196 to #195 - ljxjlos ONLINE (07/21/2014) [-]
Sorry, but that´s wrong - it´s Fingolfin, half-brother to Feanor. Feanor was slain fighting several Balrogs. Yes, several...and died from the wounds he got from Gothmog, the Leader of all Balrogs.

Fingolfin died vs. Morgoth, but he actually put on a fight. The elves of old where pretty ******* intense.
#236 to #196 - tomthehippie (07/21/2014) [-]
Cause back then Elves were ************* Elves and Dwarves where ************* Dwarves and Men were ************* Men.

When the great granddaddy of all dragons appeared, do you know what they said back then?

User avatar #208 to #201 - golnax (07/21/2014) [-]
Could be a free summon if you have 10 Mountains or Forests... or five of each.

Depending on the mana ramp of your deck of course.
#212 to #208 - McDc (07/21/2014) [-]
That's not how it works, you can only reduce the cost for (6) not the green/red mana cost, which means with 6 OR MORE lands in play(either green o red) it will cost 4 mana of red /green affinity
