They've pissed off America, most of Europe, Russia, Japan, Straya', its like they're on a ******* mission to make every country in the world hate them more than each other.
ISIS is inadvertently making us all like each other more.

www.amazon.com/Images-SI-Uranium-Ore/dp/B000796XXM but you ******* can. Additionally, no nuclear bombs have been dropped as an act of war since 1945. Nuclear devices can only be launched under presidential orders and only if there is a strong enough reason to launch one (i.e. a nuclear threat from another country). Additionally, launching any nuclear device would cause the media to immediately report it since no party wants to be responsible for starting a nuclear holocaust.
User avatar #85 to #83 - eviale ONLINE (01/25/2015) [-]
Maybe because it's easier to make something deadly with uranium than it is to make something deadly from a banana?

Order the little uranium rock and shove it in your butt.
And take a picture with a sign.
Also the us produced and used over 600 "micro nukes"
they also used depleted uranium in projectiles and left allot of fallout in Iraq and Afghanistan

They killed only one jap, and holding the other to exchange with a hostage held in Jordan, facing the death sentence for some bombings in 2005.

But IS is not a real threat. Not like the ones we have faced before (Hitler). They are cruel, kind of rich with some influence but they will never be the villain Nazi Germany used to be. Plus, what can they really really do against NATO, the combined forces of most of Europe, US and Canada ?

The thing is, if you give in and pay the ransom right, all you are doing is telling them that killing people for money works. Disempower those crazy ******* and show them that fear isn't going to control them.

I really don't understand the rules of engagement for extremist regimes like ISIS, but couldn't we just send over a hostage rescue team, kinda like the Green Barets? Better yet, why aren't we allowed to just find their capital(s) or whatever and just blow them to **** from the skies or kill everyone on the ground?
User avatar #110 to #108 - yunoavailable (01/26/2015) [-]
idk why we can't send over a team to rescue them, maybe it just doesn't work well and/or more lives would be lost trying to rescue them than would be saved, especially since they would kill them if they figured out we were coming. as far as bombing them we can't they use innocents as human shields and we don't want to blow up the innocents

Yes but then they are getting murdered, not just dies, saying someone died is an indicator as to natural causes or possibly from accidental causes.

Why can't we just put a big dome around the middle east and let them do their thing.

No news of it. Just them slowly killing eachother until there are so few left that they're forced to get along to survive... or just kill each other. Either one solves our problems, really.

User avatar #65 to #21 - angelusprimus (01/25/2015) [-]
260.000 active personnel, 50.000 reserve personnel.
And spending 48.6 billion on military.
That makes them 20th country in size of the military and 8th in spending.
Hardly an itsy bitsy defense force people think they have.
Also, japan still has a law about military service in case of war. They have 20 million men registered to serve in case of war.
Under their current law they can't go overseas. But that law can be changed.

#54 to #35 - cookiedude (01/25/2015) [-]
English is the most widely spoken language in the world, if you consider broken English and English as a Second Language.

The English Language must be spoken in international flights regardless of origin or destination, and most, if not all, schools in China require English to be taught to students.

English is closest to being the "Language of Earth" than any other language out there. And although the U.S. spellings are different, the grammatical rules are the same throughout, which means that virtually anywhere you learn it, you have learned just about all of it.

It forces the war to a new front. War has always involved an adaptation on both sides to new methods of warfare. If we bomb ISIS with memes, they'll have no choice but to respond in kind. "War" will be redefined, to the benefit of all people. /war/ is a forum, and "battles" are threads.

That's a terrifying thought.
Japanese weirdness and herbivore and waifu culture is said to come from a culture that feels its been castrated and its glory military history stolen from them,

I do remember hearing that some politicians wanted to change the Japanese constitution to allow Japan to create an offensive military.
Currently they only have a small defensive military, and even then most of the defensive nature is done by the United States.
This could be the spark they need to return to military greatness.

User avatar #61 to #60 - kiaserzerg (01/25/2015) [-]
hell, im pretty sure one of them said something like "we will never invade america, for behind every blade of grass, a rifle will be waiting for us.

That's the beauty of the U.S. It stretches on forever across 3,000 miles of open land from coast to coast.

If you think about it, there is no reason that the Western world can't take over the IS land and end this **** . We're talking about a chunk of land that is equal in size to the state of Indiana, with about as many people.
ISIS only has about 20,000 fighters. That's less than 2 U.S. Army Divisions, or about 4 Divisions of actual "front line" soldiers.
User avatar #64 to #63 - kiaserzerg (01/25/2015) [-]
how i wish america would get a little more serious about its need to wipe out those ***** . im not saying they dont do damn solid job, i am thinking of a military future, but i feel that if america just said "ya know what, **** i, what can we do, and how hard can we do it to them?"

then spend a good month going on an IS open hunting season. with a bounty for each ear brought in. (exaggerative hyperbole, but i hope you get my point.)
#73 to #64 - cookiedude (01/25/2015) [-]
The only problem is that the public could turn on us, and then you have a large amount of weapons out there with ethnic groups that hate each other.

That's what happened in Iraq in '03 and '04. Just take it slow and put the Arab armies in after.
User avatar #76 to #73 - kiaserzerg (01/25/2015) [-]
they already do that, like someone pushing a little girl in front of a convoy to get media attention against, which caused an attack on a military base, leading to the death of three marines. or something like that.
