but, it is japanese style and even the game it's based on is basically your typical asian style MMO.

It's not though. Wakfu is less like Japanese anime then it is like Japanese anime. It's got a similar use of colour, but the aesthetics aren't really all that similar to anime as opposed to, say, cartoon network, or any other animation. It's its own thing.
