And then I thought about the time when Assassins' Creed actually put in some effort and tried not to suck. Man, I genuinely liked that series. It's like watching that cool uncle you had slowly turn into a bitter alcoholic.
Connor was an unlikable whiny cunt, and nearly all of the characters were bland and two dimensional. The only decent on was Connor's dad but he was just the least ****** . The gameplay offered nothing new or interesting except for the ship combat which got old really quickly, and I won't even get started on the weird ass economy and trading system with the most abysmal interface I've ever seen. Most of the scenery was also terribly bland on account of early colonial life being as such, which isn't really the developers fault entirely, just a ****** setting. Also I remember the side missions meshing very poorly with the main line, everything felt patched together and too busy for its own good, though it's been a long time since I've played the game and cant remember the specific examples I'd go to for that. It just felt like it had an assload of content that didn't really go anywhere. It was just there.
I will admit I had some fun with the treasure hunting side story that led to that bulletproof trinket thing I don't remember the name of. It actually let to some interesting places and adventure. Also some of the hunting missions were okay, and the hunting itself was neat but got old quickly.
Also overall the story made no impression on me. All I remember is the devs waving their dicks about with all the historical research they did, like they did with every other one, just the Merrica edition
I to this day do not understand why people hate on Conner. All he wanted was to avenge his mother, and help his people. I personally liked Conner, His master, Haytham I believe it was and Charles lee. Thought they were all really well developed characters. The game-play didn't let you be god for the first time ever. Anyone prior to this , and U could mash x to win. This if you were caught in a large group ya better run. I also enjoyed the hunting aspect very much. I'll also be honest with ya I don't even remember the economy system at all.
"All I remember is the devs waving their dicks about with all the historical research they did, like they did with every other one, just the Merrica edition" - Just might be the best description of all AC games.
Reminds me of the time I helped my drunk as **** friend over to the bathroom and then helped him take a ******* piss... then I had to help him get his pants on.
