Except he never called anyone ugly, he just refused to make his clothes in XXL and larger sizes because he didn't want landwhales as the image of his company.
The whole story is years old by now.

In a way, I think limiting production of too large clothing can work as a motivator for obese people to drop some weight. Instead of catering to the problem, maybe work towards helping in.

No they just make a page bitching how there are no sizes for them and when there are they cost to much.

Like bitch, If I want an large pizza its gonna cost more than regular pizza. Same goes for clothes or any other object.

I don't think they know that there's a difference in price for differently sized pizzas, since they only ever order the largest one.

With the pizzas, you'd expect a pizza that's twice as big to cost twice as much. With clothes, it costs much more because it has to be specially ordered, made and delivered rather than mass produced. Or something like that.
Point being, fat people clothes cost way more than you think.

actually i dont think it would work that effectively. fat people will only think, "why exercise when i can just buy from a different manufacturer?"

Eh, not at a small scale, but if more companies decided to do the same, obese people would notice it becoming harder and harder to find clothes, and it would end up motivating at least a good chunk of them to drop weight so they can buy clothes at normal places.

OR it might motivate one person to make a brand of nothing but XL and above sizes and ,regardless of the quality of their clothes, would make an extremely large amount of money.

One line of XL clothing wouldn't really make a difference. Would you be satisfied with only shopping from that company?

You have to remember, most people blame their "genetics". That's not to say that some people aren't fat because of genetics or bodily problems, they just make it a lot harder to lose weight. Combine the effort needed by an obese XXXL person to go down to an L with one place to get clothes from as opposed to none and you have a bunch of people all wearing the same clothes. Maybe if somebody was in between L and XL they would work towards losing weight but other than that they probably wouldn't do ****. If the clothes are expensive, that would motivate people to lose weight and shop elsewhere. Same thing if the clothing was either ****** quality or no variety, but it all depends on the clothes. If the clothes are fair priced, good quality, and varied then people won't care if that's the only place they shop at because they can get good clothes from a place that caters to them as opposed to having to cater to other stores.

There is no variation if most clothing labels stopped offering XXL sizes. That's the whole point. One company making clothes for obese people will only be able to offer a very limited variation of clothing, hence why some people would feel it's no longer worth staying fat. The price wouldn't be fair either, as it would be a small company with a very limited type of customers, meaning that the prices would be sky high.

The companies want money, and if they stop catering they won't get as much money as they would. So that won't happen.

Me and my friend are fit but we went to the store to try stuff on and we were too tall for their largest size. Not to mention they don't have many options for their largest size.

To be honest that worked for me. Nothing says "loose weight you fat ****" like not being able to fit into the cloths you like. I lost 10kg because I couldn't fit into jeans that I wanted.

Worked for me as well. As a teen I cried in quite a few change rooms then one day I decided I wanted to fit in smaller clothes. Don't know how much I lost but I do know I fit in smaller clothes now

Bravo!, its sad to say but sometimes the best motivation to loose weight is to first feel like absolute ****. Sounds rough when you say it in those terms but eventually you just reach a point where you say "enough is enough"

It doesn't matter how HE looks.
HE has a brand to sell, and would prefer it be worn by young, fit, good looking people.
THAT will increase HIS brands appeal to other like people.
No 15 year old cares what HE looks like, they care what that 17 year old cheer leader wearing his brand looks like.
tumblr is full of faggots.

That orcs name is Gothmog, Lieutenant of the Witch-King, a very minor character in the books who has like one line where he tells the army to charge but his role his puffed up for the films. Book never actually says if hes an orc or not either, so he may have been a human or other evil race.

What hes sayings is true, Fit people look better in his clothes therefore making his brand look better. Pretty simple marketing even if he's being a ******* about it. Being fat doe's not take any effort, but being fit actually takes work to achieve and for some the reward for being fit is being able to look good in clothes others can't And can some one explain how being fit's a privillage when it takes a lot of work to achieve? Discounting people with actual health issues

It's not just that he wants 'fit' people in his clothes, he said he didn't want 'ugly' or 'uncool' people in his clothes. He said his clothing line was for the cool, handsome and beautiful kids in high school. It's not just a fat v. fit, it's that he's basically excluding anyone who isn't popular or good-looking (aka, most people including himself).

It's his own choice to alienate people, The brand wouldn't exist without him so he makes the rules. They are pretty successful brand to when you think about it so it didn't stop much people. Still though every man to his own

I honestly couldn't care less what he does with his brand. It's a very poor move on his part, because people then started boycotting it for a long time, and I personally think he's stupid. He can do what he wants, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it or think he's even mildly intelligent for doing it. You're right, it's his decision, but I was only pointing out that he didn't only want 'fit' people wearing them to make it look better.
