personally the second and third episode of season 1 weren't that good, and episode 8 of season 2 was pretty meh. other than those 3, amazing show and my favorite cartoon of all time.

From what I've heard, that's because the guy who does the voice of Rick doesn't read the script when he's recording. That's just what the actor honestly sounds like.
also i think the burps are him filling time so he can remember what he's supposed to say

he drinks a light, low calorie beer and water while reading the script and burps naturally so that it sounds authentic.

Eh, same.
The show has some realy good moments, sure, but I can't sit down to watch it all because the constant burping makes me feel ill. The speaking-fast while stuttering is also a little annoying, but bearable.
