>Mfw there are people- right now, who would buy this in a heartbeat... un-ironically, with their money
>Mfw people can't really be THIS retarded- but somehow prove me wrong every time
>Mfw there are people who would want more books like this God The Angel of Death has come to reap the sinners dumbasses.
I wouldn't buy this book for the seriousness, but c'mon, it's a silly parody. I kinda blew air out of my nose a little faster then normal while reading it, it's supposed to be a humorous rendition of the actual thing. I don't think it really means "Omg like romeo and juliet is **** in the old way, read it in texts!"
All these comments about how a classic's been ruined and I'm just sitting here, wondering if anyone here's actually read that **** . The original Romeo and Juliet. Not the 5000 adaptations that keep changing it. The original is a story about the relationship between an over-dramatic 15-yearold boy and a 13-yearold girl that's nearly as over-dramatic, but compensates with stupidity. All they say is basically "I love you", "I love you more", "No, I love you more", "No, I love you more", "Well, I love you twice as more", "I love you more times infinity", " I love you more times infinity plus 1", while Romeo's trying to figure out if he's in love or just horny. Stupid **** happens, they do even stupider **** and a bunch of people die because of their stupidity. Is this really THAT much of a downgrade? It's basically the same thing, just with shorter words, so ******** can understand it.
if this helps someone understand it, then so be it, after all that would only make one more teen aware of classics.
and yes there are classics, and yes we should learn about them, but we shouldnt treat them as something so divine that it cant be changed the slightest
Yeah, it's pretty terrible and cringeworthy, but I gotta be honest, if this can somehow make a bored tween/teen pick up their first Shakespare, well there are worse things.
I'd like to imagine that it's gonna be used and is meant as, the first step to reading Shakespeare, which can seem like a really hard task when you just glance at it.
It's stupid, yes, but maybe it'll get someone curious enough to pick up the real deal.
