This isn't true, if my ******* thumb is bigger than my friend's, do I not get affected by the cloud because I can't see it?

What if I put my thumb up to my eye? Will I not die because the mushroom cloud isn't there to me anymore?

Or if my arm is shorter?

If you see a ******* nuclear blast, you're already too close.

your thumb size is approximately identical if you adjust for the length of your arm.
Also, this is a guestiment, and should not be treated as an exact measurement, the same way a foot (measurement of length) is not exactly the same length as your foot (leg hand)

If you're looking directly at a nuclear explosion you're already blind.
