This 						****					 right here ain't real. As an Indian who's been to India, if we could afford to light up  like this then there wouldn't be 						*************					 cows roaming city streets during rush hour.    
   
You have to wait there for those assholes to move, and yes, they will 						****					 in the street. All the while they'll have this stupid ass look on there face like, "Buddy, you cannot of touching me for I am the scared."   
   
Anyway, like I said this isn't real, well not all of these lights at once, and besides, Diwali is celebrated by a 						****					 ton of fireworks, not by running your electric bill up through the next decade....

The patches of the single colours give this away for me

Unless in India, they all get together and be all "okay, every from this surrounding area are all gonna let off green fireworks, don't worry about red, we've got some guys in the east"

The colored lights are not real. It was a photo put together by NASA to display the growth of India's infrastructure over the years.

Green lights were up in some early year, followed by red lights, and blue, and finally the yellow ones. All the colors were artificially added to display the year the lights were there.
