I can't remember who it was, but I saw a video taken by a paparazzo where the filmer and this other one had been following a celebrity around taking pictures of him so he decided to start following them around and ask about everything they were doing. It was hilarious because they got really pissed and kept saying he was being annoying and they were just trying to go about their business

Alright I agree with the sentiment but it's not sexist - if a man did this and his knob slipped out of his trunks then people would have exactly the same reaction. Just because it's a woman having her achievements shat on, doesn't mean this is sexism.

No it wouldn't. Sexism means that for example only one gender suffers the consequences of some action. In this situation both a man and woman would have pictures taken of them if their nipple/schlong happened to slip out. It's douchebaggery, but not sexism.

Then again the paparazzi does specifically seek out any and all wardrobe malfunctions for female celebrities (a nip slip being the holy grail) without caring much for the same with men.
Admittedly a guys nob falling out might get the same interest but its hardly a like-for-like comparison.

Not that I'm disagreeing fundamentally. Just that there is a reasonable alternative view.

On the other hand, maybe nipples shouldn't be that "taboo" or whatever the word is in this context that it takes this much attention. I'm not a fan of the idea that women's breasts should be as acceptable in public as men's chests, but I do think it's sometimes ridiculous how "omg nipples!!!" everyone is about it in both good and bad ways.

#67 to #2 - therealkakashi (12/18/2015) [-]
I feel like this is the best answer. To add onto your comment "It would be sexism if men also did not have their achievements shat on."

It isn't sexism, it's just... People specifically tabloids and their papparazzos being morons. Yeah that's rough buddy, but not every bad thing that happens to a women automatically makes it sexism. Sometimes life just likes to kick you in the shins a bunch, whether you're a guy or a girl.
#20 - anon (12/17/2015) [-]
This isn't sexism, it's celebrity culture. If a random woman happened to have her nipple slip out while saving peoples' lives, nobody would care. But because it's a celebrity, the paparazzi were there to take pictures and it is now a news story. It didn't happen because she's a woman, it happened because she's a celebrity.

That doesn't make it any less disgusting and wrong. Just aim at the right targets.

it's sexist because it matters that her nipple showed. By grouping her nipple and using the equivalence that her nipple is the same thing as a man's dick (replying to >>#2) is what sexism entails.
#147 to #80 - anon (12/18/2015) [-]
No, what sexism entails is if one gender or the other is being elevated above the other. This is just an exposed body part, and shirts/tops slip easier than pants+underwear do, so it's more common to see nip-slips (especially given the contour of a breast) from women than men, likewise the male chest is (biologically) not generally a sexually active erogenous zone so it is not considered obscene to have exposed.

So it will be much rarer to have a dick-slip than a nip-slip, and a female nip-slip is considered obscene by males and females due to the taboo of exposing sexually active erogenous zones in public. Celebrity media exists to add sensationalist scandals to the public eye, and so this stupid article was made.

These are facts, these are not sexism. The article is not sexist. The event is not sexist. SJW poison-thinking has spread too far, trying to change the meaning and understanding of sexism to fit the fetters and stupidity of modern feminism.
User avatar #198 to #147 - failtolawl (12/18/2015) [-]
"No, what sexism entails is if one gender or the other is being elevated above the other"

thanks for proving my point
User avatar #124 to #80 - ogopogofod (12/18/2015) [-]
Not sexist, more like sexualization, which can happen to men too.
If it were sexist it would mean that if a male celebrity were doing the same, with his nuts out, it would get no reaction because he is male.
But no ********* would happen if it werent a celeb
User avatar #199 to #124 - failtolawl (12/18/2015) [-]
NUTS =/= NIPPLES
If males can show nipples, females should be able to show nipples

you're using the false equivalency of female nipples to male genitalia.
User avatar #108 to #20 - enlightednatzie (12/18/2015) [-]
It happened because it was a woman celeberty. No one would care if it was a man nip slip.

That's because nobody gives a **** about men, especially not feminists, to them, and this is always the narrative, only women can be victims. Judging by your thumbs, not even FJ which is mostly male, cares.

Nobody gives a **** about men. Women are just damsels in distress.
More news at 9.
User avatar #101 to #88 - Ruspanic (12/18/2015) [-]
Your perspective's pretty warped, man.
First of all, most people aren't SJWs.
Secondly, the "damsel in distress" thing goes waaaaay back, long before feminism. The whole "save the women and children first" thing, you know? Which isn't to say that people don't care about male victims, too - they do.
And thirdly the male bodyguard isn't a victim just because he didn't get recognition. Jesus.
#148 to #101 - anon (12/18/2015) [-]
No, he's definitely right. No one cares what men do unless they're famous celebrities and even then not as much as women, or unless they do something bad that they can then pin on the entire male gender.

"This guy hit his girlfriend! Wow men really do suck." /what you don't see is bitch deserved it for cheating on him and stealing his money and car to get laid /but no one cares about that because guy did bad thing
User avatar #186 to #148 - Ruspanic (12/18/2015) [-]
I don't deny that male victims of domestic violence, rape etc are not taken as seriously and that's a serious problem, but you are overstating it. People do still care about male victims of violence in general - murder victims, (black) men shot by police, soldiers killed in combat, etc.
Women are still to some extent viewed as a vulnerable class, like children, which is why crimes against them are considered especially bad (that, and the fact that women are much less likely than men to commit violent crimes). This isn't fair, but it's not feminism's fault.

I find it telling that by way of example, you chose not to focus on actual male victims but rather jumped to the defense of men who beat their girlfriends.
No, most women who are beaten in relationships do not deserve it, and most men who beat their wives/girlfriends are scum. There are exceptions but this is still a poor example. Have you had a personal experience like this, or do you just tend to side with men because you are male?
